POST GAME [Round 13, 2026] - Broncos vs Dragons

I don't know why people comment that they won't be watching them or supporting them after a loss, literally nobody gives a Fk lol. We are on broncosHQ because we like to watch football even when they are shit

I dont mind if we are shit tbh, its the way the game is officiated and the rules like 6 again that stopped me watching. If i was going to stop watching just because we were shit, i could have done that under Seibs.

Yeah use Walsh as a decoy... it's a big issue that Ezra has at the moment... Piaks is our best line running forward and he doesn't seem to know how to use him. Even Shiba showed great line running last year, but he can't seem to line him up.

He's got a lot of weapons on that last edge, but it looks impotent at times.

I feel like he's just waiting on either Reynolds or Walsh to tell him what to do.

When he plays without Walsh, Reyno gives him the ball and he has a bit more authority on his left (we've seen that in the games earlier this year and the dogs game last year), but when Walsh plays it's like just give Walsh the ball, but he doesn't really straighten up the attack and so he's not really setting anything up out there.

Piaks line running isn't a threat, Ezra's running isn't a threat and Walsh out the back is easier to defend, because they whole defensive line is sliding that way anyway.
Agreed 100% whenever the sweep is on Ezra side it always gets shut down. Last year we did see some really good linkup play with piakura and he is a really good ball runner so hopefully they can figure something out on that regard, looks super clunky on the left hand side in general

Yeh even then why do people announce it to the world that they will stop watching and then I see them commenting on here the next week after hahah. And the same thing applies, nobody gives a Fk that you stopped watching football

Its poor squad management and i think its gone back years. We seem to have an aversion of letting big names walk even if it means the squad as a whole is stronger.

Imo, we dont have enough workmen like players who just turn up and do their jobs every week. We either want the superstars and then we end up supplementing them with the likes of Gos or Jhunt.
It's one thing to not let big names walk, but you need to have rookies coming through to allow you to let them walk.

I can only really think of Plath as a young guy that left, but dolphins signed him when they were looking to build a full top 30 roster... hard to keep him there.

Flegler, Herbie, etc. don't really count, because they are the established guys you're referring to.

The lack of rookies coming through is alarming at the moment, because we're having to take other teams scraps to flesh out the top 30... that or it's up to the R&R to vulture the top talent from other teams where they're blocked.. but it's not easy enticing them to leave Sydney where there are 8 clubs and family to head to Qld

Curious if any of you guys are at the star at the moment. Since I am nearly home. I wouldn't be surprised if the team are getting their ears chewed off by fans/Supporters/Members

Maybe some people do

Thats my point though, we dont produce the type of players i'm talking about though. I honestly dont think we look beyond developing superstars. Our fans as well dont ever seem happy if we produce a player who just turns up every week with little fanfare. I dont see us producing players like Connor Tracey, Nick Meaney or JMK for example. We seem to not want solid performers for some reason.

I miss Jack Reed.

Was at the game. Can confirm we played bad.

I'm a broken record and it's already been mentioned in this thread but we are the only team that has a dummy half THAT DOESN'T RUN THE BALL. There was two instances where Paix caught an offload and instead of running the ball and making good metres up the middle, immediately stops and looks for someone to offload too.

It's infuriating and I can't understand it.

Mam needs to be dropped. He offers nothing anymore. Walsh was his typical erratic self but there was no upside today. That attempted offload straight to a Dragons player after we just got the 6 again summed up our day.

We had virtually no off season after winning the comp last year + have had a horror injury toll. This season is just looking like a write off tbh, no other club would be able to cope with the injuries we’ve had
What about the amount of unnecessary pressure and expectation we put on ourselves by going to England for 2wks acting like it was our second grand final. Was absolutely not necessary and I think has played a major role in our season to date.

Cant really comment on the performance of the team as a whole or individuals, but maybe some of these guys are just simply worn out. I've been saying it for years especially with some of our forwards, you cant run them into the ground and expect them to not pick up injuries, as we have seen with Payne for example, or for them to have drops in form.
Payne had his knee twisted. Absolutely nothing to do with being run into the ground.

Same as Vegas in 2024.

But let’s be honest, it was four months ago. If you’re still suffering travel jet lag, you’re doing something wrong

Watching the panthers now, there are so many workers week in week out, nothing flashy and just hard work. We have none
