NRL 2026 Round 14 Discussion

Hoping the Dargs win today, so we aren't the only team to get beating by them.

After watching that performance from Penrith, its not a bad year for us to be absolutely terrible as nobody is beating this Penrith side when it comes to the business end.

Least we can say, we stopped them getting 5 in a row.

They were not that good last week.
Didn't say they were good lol, just weren't completely putrid as they usually are. At the very least they were competent.

To be fair to them they were actually decent against Penref the week prior all things considered. So maybe they have turned a corner.

Blocker doesn't know the rules... someone needs to be obstructed to get the penalty... if the dargs player that started closing just runs into a shark and falls over then he would've got the penalty, but he went through clean.

He won't make it as a storm player missing penalty opportunities like that

Our loses are similar to before Kevvie was sacked.

Are the players wanting Madge sacked & be in charge again.

It's like Groundhog Dog.

That Penrith game just shows how ruthless and motivated they are.

Meanwhile we lose to 16th and 17th and sook throughout the game.

We are happy with a premiership and can coast.

Penrith haven't had half or more of their team out most of the year either.

Let's recap

Thursday

Manly def. Souths. The big talking point out of the game was the Kosi no try and the Trbojevic play the ball. Big 12 point swing gave Manly an advantage that they held onto.

Friday

Melbourne def. Newcastle. Match of the Round, played like an U/20s with bad defence and bad handling. 32-30, possibly a sliding doors moment.

Sydney def. Canberra. Raiders didn't even register a point and the defending minor premiers look done.

Saturday

Dolphins def. North Queensland. Something of a contest, if only because the Cowboys received a horrible call in their favour. Dolphins easily ran away with it. Should have been a better watch.

Gold Coast def. Broncos. If not Melbourne/Newcastle the match of the round. A bottom dwelling team taking on a horribly out of form team. Awful defence and play but gee we got an exciting finish. The defending premiers are gone.

Sunday

Penrith killed the Tigers. One of the feel good stories of the opening month or so and now they're a rabble. Game over inside 20 minutes, really hope fans are loving the dynasty.

Cronulla def. St George Illawarra. Back to regular transmission for the Dragons, Sharks beat another nobody team convincingly and nobody is buying what they're selling.

Monday

Canterbury vs. Parramatta. A horribly out of form team vs. an injury plagued team. Will likely be the best match of the round.
