CRICKET General Cricket Discussion

Not sure if anyone watched the Aus v Pak series but three things really stood out:
1. Aus's immediate batting future is dire
2. How good are pitches that move sideways!
3. Renshaw I think will be a main stay in this side for a few years

I reckon Aus found a few players though - Peake is way too raw but he is going to be a gun, you can see it. Kuhnemann really should be an all forms squad player. Renshaw as mentioned was excellent. Inglis has locked down an opener spot. If I was picking the Aus ODI side, I'd be going with:

1. Head
2. Inglis (wk)
3. Marsh
4. Green
5. Renshaw
6. Hardie (still up for grabs)
7. Connolly (still up for grabs)
8. Starc
9. Kuhnemann/Zampa
10. Cummins
11. Hazlewood
 
Also Head and Marsh out of the ODI series starting today. Short and Leake back in.

Celebrating the triumphant 3rd rising of Bazball. Got in an altercation with a rugby player who took a swing at his offsider and collected a security member.
 
Stepped outside, came back in and Connolly gone for 35. That innings was definition of rocks and diamonds. The one dude who is batting well at the moment - Renshaw - is slated to come in at 7. I have no idea what the selectors are trying to achieve right now. Matt Short can't buy a run and they keep picking him.

Its a scary future for Aus batting.

I personally think the best line up post-WC is:
1. Head
2. Inglis
3. McSweeney
4. Renshaw
5. Green
6. Connolly/Peake
7. Scott/Hardie
8. Edwards/ J Davies
9. Bartlett
10. Kuhnemann/Sangha
11. Ellis/Beardman

Yep, you can see why the selectors are holding on to the old guys as long as possible. There is some young talent but there is no way of knowing if they will kick on and is such little in between the old and the kids.
