If you got a prop who can play 80 and not take shortcuts, he's worth every cent.
Back when Wayne was saying things about forwards, I doubt any of them were playing 80. Even Jackson Ford, he's been great but he spends a bit of time in the backrow too.

Did Lazarus sign the contract in 94 in lieu of 95, or did he sign in '95 when players were being offered Super League contracts?
Keep in mind the premiers that year were Canterbury. A team that was being torn a part because the club aligned with Super League but some of their star players signed with the ARL.

Its a shame Terrell May is such a dickhead because he is probably in terms of skill set, motor and size/speed as close as you could get to Payne. The gap to Payne still may be large, just saying he is an extremely good prop.

I have seen bits and pieces of reels and a couple of episodes... seems quite 'normal' / 'tell it like it is' for his generation. Wayyyyy more idiots than him.
We've hired worse IMHO.
Either way , looks like he ain't leaving the tigers soon anyway.
I've seen how some of these islanders interact with their fanbase at Sydney games... very engaging and they have a lot of time for their fans.
If anything, some of the Bronco players seem way more stand-off ish... obviously doesn't help we are getting smashed... =/
