Courier Mail reporting that Billy is targeting his come back for feeder club Souths Logan in Sunday week’s clash against Norths Devils in the Queensland Cup

Walters has been training strongly with the NRL squad and hopes to have a preliminary hit out for the Magpies on Sunday week.

If he pulls up well, Walters will be pitchforked back into the Broncos side for their round 18 clash against the Sharks at Suncorp Stadium on July 4.

This might spark an attitude change in the team. We have the talent there to get into the finals, there seems to be a disconnect within the team at the moment.

That might be too late unfortunately. I get why they'd want him to return that way, I guess maybe they don't expect he'll be 100% by the Roosters game, but will probably survive playing at 98% for the Magpies to give him some match fitness before the Sharks game.

If he hits the ground running I’d be turfing Paix or Hunt without hesitation. Probably Hunt to be honest.

A welcome addition, and tbh I'd be looking to get him in to gel for 2027.

Whatever good we make of 2026 I will take, but lets just call a spade a spade... we're so far off the pace at this point, it will be really good to get 2027 right from the get go... and that starts NOW IMHO.

The amount of times Haas has poked through the line and looked around for an offload and the rest of the team is already given up on the play. We've left a lot of points and line breaks out on the field because of this attitude.

Billy would be there. Thats the attitude and difference he brings.

The rest of the team has had no desire to compete on every play.

This. And also this is walters second ACL injury. I remember when staggs returned he was good but not great for a while.

When he did it August 2020, he didn't play again until April 2021. Played seven Cup games before NRL again in June.

He definitely thinks he can play Cup in two weeks with Harry.
