THE BOSS Maguire Stomped The Naysayers! But...8 Months Later, Here We Are.

**** off. I thought you don’t engage with homophobic sexist racist xenophobes. Sproj told us to drop it so if you don’t like it chuck me on ignore you ****ing sook.
I didn’t even say you were a homophobe or a xenophobe. Now you’re just dobbing on yourself.

Anywho, can someone else ask him the same question I asked, because I’d like him to justify his statement.

Don't think Madge will be sacked, nor should he. Don't think he will get an extension either. So guess in about 12 months time we could be looking for yet another coach when all along both the playing group and the R and R team are to blame. If the R and R team had any clue about how to put together a competitive roster, we would could
have remained in with a chance of playing finals despite our injury crisis.
Post Madge Billy Slater would be my choice but he will almost certainly go to the Storm. Reynolds could work, Hannah, Holbrook, Teo or Brad Thorn otherwise go to UK and get Sam Burgess.

The club clearly has a major cultural problem. Players just dont care enough. If the clubs aim is to be like the Panthers, then sign Madge for 10 years and be done with it. The players can then decide to commit or leave. They'll be replaced.

Are we going to act like the Panthers aren’t getting up to the same shit? Footy players are idiots, they’re all driving the day after drinking, they’re all doing drugs, they’re all out there cheating on their wives. They run into each other for a living. Rugby league has a culture and it’s that of meatheads who are given too much money.

Duffy and Hunt have come out in defence of Madges, saying that reports he has lost dressing room are BS.

Ben Hunt said

“I re-signed assuming ‘Madge’ (Maguire) would be the coach,” he said.

“He was the one who approached me and asked if I wanted to go around again.

“It was a no-brainer. I’m excited to be here.

“He’s our coach and I’m happy to get on with it.

“It’s the Broncos, there’s always outside noise and different things going on, but I’m happy.”

Asked if Broncos players are still playing for Maguire, Hunt said:

“Yeah mate. We lost on the weekend (24-18 against the Roosters), but if you look at the game and the effort we put in, we fought hard.

“If you take anything out of that, it’s that the boys are fighting for him.

“For me, it’s his directness. He always tells me where I stand. There’s no grey area, and I’ve always loved that in a coach. He’s very clear with his players and he’s always been that way with me since I’ve been here.”

Hunt has come under fire for playing on beyond his 37th birthday next season but the 366-game champion is adamant his body can withstand a 19th season of NRL in 2027.

“I’m excited to go around with this club again,” he said.

“I love playing footy and I still feel like I can play on.

“Madge came to me and asked if I was interested in going around again, and as soon as he did, it was a no-brainer. I’m still feeling good, enjoying my footy, I love this club and I want to be here.

“I always love playing halfback, so to get another opportunity there (against the Sharks), I’m really excited.

“If we can take another step this week and build on what we did last week, that will be good.”

Tom Duffy said

“I’ve just re-signed for two years and ‘Dozer’ (Hunt) has extended as well,” he said.

“I love playing under Madge.

“It’s been a really good change from up north for me.

“It’s a refreshing club with different people around, and I’ve really enjoyed my time here. I’m so happy to be here for another two years.

“In my experience, every player just wants to know where they stand, and Madge gives you that.

“I think that’s one of his strengths.

“Ninety per cent of the players I’ve been around at different clubs just want to be told where they stand, and Madge is really good at that.”

So based on those quotes Madge has been telling ***** they're shit and they go crying to media instead of trying to be better.

Meanwhile Coby Black was whinging that Madge didn't even know his name unlike Kevvie... who didn't bother talking to chicken sandwich.

We have the softest ****ing players imaginable, I’m ****ing over them. If there is any substance to them threatening to walk if Madge is re-signed I don’t care who they are, extend Madge and call them an Uber to the ****ing airport. ****ing *****.

We really are the prima-donna club to the Phins' workhorses, aren't we? Yuk.

If I was a fan coming into the game now it'd be Phins for sure. Stamp this shit out, DD, and fast.

We really did play pretty well against the roosters. It was pissing down rain and honestly they only just got the better of us. Things aren’t as dire as the statistics suggest….in that game I should say.
You know it just isn’t your season when the Roosters effectively FIFA their way up field and score the winning try off a forward pass.

How good would it be to at least get niko and Herbie back…..and flegler.
Kodi won't come back... broncos could throw serious coin at Herbie though, but it sounds like rorters might be calling.

Staggs is signed until end of 2028... get Herbie back for 2028 and let Staggs walk or sign a smaller deal from that point on.

I'm not sure about Flegler just yet... still coming back from that injury, but he's only played over 40mins 5 times out of 11 games this year. He's not going to want a team friendly deal, but he's not bringing the impact for a guy that is barely playing over 40mins a game.

I'm guessing he'll sign an extension at dolphins on an "I feel like I need to pay them back for being injured for 2 years" deal

Yep, a loyalty thing. It is on my part wishful thinking. Flegler is worth every bit of up to 650-700k
