Broncos Roster, Signings and Rumours Discussion 2026

So, we have:
In - Barnett (2029), Pezet (2029), Gagai (2027)
Out - Reynolds (retired), Haas (Souths), Te Kura (NFL), Arthars (ESL), Anderson (Warriors), Shibasaki (most likely), Jensen (most likely)
Re-Signed - Bunt (2027), Piki (2028), Paix (2028), Poates (2027), Duffy (2028), Semu (2028), Verhoeven (2029)
Out of Contract: Walters, Junt, Shibasaki, Jensen, Hoeter, Gosiewski, Rogers

So we have re-signed a lot of background players but still none of the ones we actually want in Willison, Piakura, Mariner and Piakura while also managing to lose Haas.

Which all means, currently our 2027 side has massive holes and our 2028 side is scary.

So given Jensen is likely done and Walters probably re-signing and takes that spot, we have somewhere between 5-7 spots to fill which MUST be 2 middles, 2 second-rowers and 2 backs.

On 360, apparently Gordie took a pot shot at Madge last night or the day before. They were talking about new Dargons coaches and for some reason Madge's name keeps coming up. The point was made that he's a front running coach and can't do much with a struggling roster. Gordie apparently chimed in with "Unless you want them playing second division"

Been in and out for years really, I don't think they reported on anything other than Galvin for most of last year. The whole players being off Madge last year annoyed me (Bwaith: The story just won't go away"...meanwhile the only people talking about it are them) but the whole Haas thing this year's really rustled my jimmies.

Regardless of what anyone thinks of the situation or him, he came out and gave his reasons and was then forced to come out and say it had nothing to do with Madge. That seemingly wasn't enough for these bottom feeding parasites.

From memory haas was the first player that endorsed the appointment of Madge as kevvie’s replacement.

He also quit Australia when Kevvie became coach. He’s on record as saying he loved him as a coach but you gotta wonder…

Wanted out of us while he was here too iirc.
 
Sunday footy show is the only one worth watching and I haven’t even watched that one in a couple of years at least. I don’t know what it’s like anymore….

Do they still do Freddy’s pass off.

Remember how awful the Thursday night footy show was by the time it got canned.

I think they spoke about rl for the first 5 minutes or so, then it was just stupid segments that had nothing to do with the sport.

Unfortunately she's no longer with us but let's just say it didn't last too long.

Can’t remember that. Gladly I might add. Michael slater was always a wtf thing for me though? Anyway doesn’t matter who they put on when it wasn’t even a show about footy anyway.

They just called it that.
 
Beau knows was a funny segment when it first came out then at some point it just became him interviewing people that couldn’t even speak English while the audience and canned laughter roared it up at how they didn’t understand the questions and gave confused answers.

I only remember her because I remember she must have had a shithouse final week on earth. She hated paul gallen and the sharks and loved the Sydney swans. She died the same week Cronulla won the gf and Sydney swans lost it……

My memory is pretty hazy at the best of times but can someone remind me why she was so hated? What were her controversial opinions/writings?
