tbh I've got a gut feeling of an ambush on Thursday, reckon Penrith will turn up with a "games already won" mentality, plus the way the Media have been absolutely fawning over the Chin post Origin would be feeding their arrogance.

Look at the Cowboys-Panthers game, seems like belting them in those first few sets can really rattle them.

Had the same feeling three times this year, Storm, Tigers and Doggies.

Problem is we have no one to do the belting. We have a really passive forward pack at the best of times. The only time they rush up and try to get aggressive they do something stupid, they give away a dumb penalty or worse, they don't do anything wrong and still give away the dumb penalty
 
Souths have the bye this week so not sure no football is what Billy needs. He didn't train yesterday after playing Sunday. But I think they have to play him on Thursday night even off the bench for 20 minutes just so he's not having a weekend off.

But then Maguire can't play Paix for 80 and give Bunt and Reynolds undeserved minutes and we can't have that!
 
Brendan Piakura will have to pass concussion protocols having suffered a head injury in Round 18. Whilst the 11-day stand down period has elapsed, his complex history with the injury means the club may take a cautious approach. If unavailable, Xavier Willison may be named to start on an edge with Jack Gosiewski still in doubt with a rib issue.

Willison potentially on the edge...

Would be nice if the officials had Piaks on the tip sheet as a guy that keeps copping high shots and HIA's... and I don't know ****ing punish the ****ing offenders that hit him high illegally... ground breaking stuff I know.

Loeiro came flying out of the line in the GF and landed a shoulder straight to the face... only a sin bin and Grade 2 even though he was off his feet and came in recklessly with zero mitigating factors.

Earlier in the GF Hughes hits him with a high shot and Piaks is taken off for a HIA.

Last week Ramien hits him high and he's off for a HIA... zero punishment for Ramien but we lose our starting backrower for 3 quarters of the game.

Officiating of this sport "entertainment" is ****ing cooked... they will deserve the CTE lawsuit when it comes in

I suspect he'll find a way to keep Piki in there too.

Doc: "Brendan, how is your head feeling?"
BP: "Yeah doc, ready to play"
Doc: "Have you had any soreness, dizziness or inability to focus?"
BP: "Just focussed on one week at a time with the boys"
Doc: "Uuuum, okay, can you tell me what day of the week it is?"
BP: "Nah we're not weak, we've had some outs but we're back. Gonna smash em".
Doc: "Err, can you tell me your name"?
BP: "Hope to be named to start in the back row, my head's a bit sore but I want to play"
Doc: "Oh geez, okay let me check this against your baseline"

*** Disappears for a moment and then returns.

Doc: "Good to go Brendan, everything seems normal!"
BP: "Yee-haaaa, let's go bruz" ***stands up too fast and faints
