POST GAME [Round 20, 2026] - Broncos vs Panthers

I like Cleary, I think he is a smart coach. He talks about the reffing because he knows that gets him a good whistle the following week.

He gave plenty of credit to the Broncs and particularly Walsh as well. He said he doesn't remember being pressured like that in a long time.

Almost like it was bucketing down with rain or something. 89% completion rate to 78% with the ball being thrown around in those conditions, you would expect way less. Most of those errors were also on contested bombs, etc. AND a whistle that was mostly away.

If you can't enjoy that as a great game, I really don't know what you will enjoy.

What’s better than the Broncos winning last night? All the salty tears coming from Penrith/NSW fan bois all up in their skirts about how “we got the rub of the green, refs in our pockets, NRL conspiracy”😂🤣😂🤣. Those trolls probably can’t look in the mirror without it breaking from all the hypocrisy!!

Not sure thats on X TBH. Priki at first marker clocked off marginally. Penrith had a 5 on 4 with Cleary running the second man option. Priki would have been on their radar for exactly that.
X could be guilty of trusting Priki a little too much but Riki has to cover that space by working harder.

But even with that, how could you not have enjoyed it? It was a great game, I just cannot fathom how anyone couldn't think that. This was the two best sides in the comp by far almost at their best with a ref that mostly stayed out of it. What is there not to like?

Definitely one of the better games I have seen this year.

Two best sides by far? Huh? So anytime a mid to bottom of the ladder team plays well and beats the Panthers they are one of the best teams in the comp?

Well yeah. Has any other side won the comp in the last 5 years than these two? Have the Broncs had this version of the side available most of the year and I missed it?
