POST GAME [Round 20, 2026] - Broncos vs Panthers

This is the thing, Reynolds has always been really good first game back from a lay off, scintillating even and the. Got pretty quickly worse. This time he was terrible first game back, what does that say about the next one and one after that? It’s scary.

And on the Staggs try, I just kept thinking oh no, they are going to call this no try because of the wrong boot. It’s the hand of Xoates all over again.

It seems Sydney is as emotionally invested in the broncos as us fans... and they've just had their weekend ruined.

Head gear does not stop concussion .
Might stop you splitting the skin on your head . The company that makes Jake Turbo`s head gear tried to make claims . But were found to be unproven .
 
Just like 92, Broncos go to Penrith and give the season a jolt, they weren't losing at the time in 92, but it was the type of win they wouldn't have got previously, cold wet night against the Premiers- all too hard for previous Broncos.

Lot of that last night, losing, need something could have been all too hard in the wet but they go there and make it all effort and win.

The game wasn't great, but it was the type of win I didn't think the Broncos would seek out- I was trying to figure out how they were going to find the form to score 24 plus points. Just keep Panthers to 12 solves lots of problems.

Panther's attack and ball control was yuck, but they were forced into that with great defence. Broncos kicking game was outstanding they controlled where Panthers got the ball and what they could do with it. Brisbane got up high and their edges forced them back to the middle where Brisbane were controlling it there too.

Brisbane's middle was outstanding, Paix, Payne, Carrigan and P.Riki didn't miss a tackle.

Brisbane's edges were physical- Shibasaki and Staggs beat Panthers with the ball- 40 runs between them. Willison was outstanding again and running a little wider, but he can only do that when the middle holds and he can roam a bit.

But that huge bust Sorenson made was on Willison`s inside shoulder at the ruck .
Needs to tighten that up .
 
So has Ballin only just been given the reins on the defence? The D was chalk and cheese from the last 8 weeks.

I suppose he is allowed to miss a tackle but yeah, I did see that.
 
Firstly what last night proved was that with a full strength side we can beat anyone. Secondly, Madge certainly has not lost the dressing room.
