Piakura in 2mins showed that Madge made the right call and has created a first grader out of Gos... great increase to our depth.

I think Piaks will get there, but now he can see what Gos is doing out there to know where he needs to get to
 
When you're watching a team really click and fire on all cylinders, you'll see some incredible 'too good to be true' team tries where everything falls into place like magic and it seems just 'meant to be'. It's easy to write these off as just 'lucky', but these players giving 100%, supporting each other, killing themselves to be around the ball and maximise every opportunity is what creates that 'luck'.

We had a number of these sorts of moments and tries in 2015 when we made the grand final. We had some more in 2023.

And we saw one tonight. This team is going to be special this year.

J Hunt is also a contender. We have good depth there
 
Great first up win and extra special to put 50 on the Rorters. Thought Willison was a machine when he came on and regularly left tacklers on the ground behind him on some runs. A big welcome back to first grade for Paix who also played well. Haas as usual was a machine and Carrigan just doesn't stop.

It probably was more related to how we went and given second rowers can easily do 80 mins, but Gos had a good game very solid, Piakura would most likely be required for a bigger stint against harder opposition though.
 
Great start to the season.

Need to keep things tempered however. Plenty of good things, still some ordinary things

Better teams won’t let us get away with that, but it was nice to have an easy game to start the season for a change

The best part was that he was only on the field for like 20 minutes, and part of that was sharing the field with Paix.

I actually don’t mind Billy in this role - a bench utility like he’s meant to be. Not a starting hooker

His arse was literally sitting in the middle of the touch line before he plants the ball. Try awarded after minimal scrutiny, not a peep out of the commentary team…everyone who was watching that knows he didn’t score.
