Hands down one of my favourite players to ever don the jersey and absolutely would have been an all-time great - at all levels. The skillset he had was just unbelievable, with speed and physicality to boot...I can't think of a single player who has emerged since who had the same attributes as...
No context needed, we were thoroughly outenthused yet again. Atrocious defence, some bad luck along the way didn't help but our opposite ran harder and hit harder and as a result the Tits deserved the win.
Really difficult today. Selwyn the stand out, I don't even know who after that. Went with Walsh for the diamonds and Madden because he was solid. Could probably have given X-man one since he was the only bloke to run with much venom today but he also saw ****-all minutes so whatever.
I don't give a shit what they do behind closed doors, I'd hazard a guess most of the NRL would indulge in something or the other, especially since it's almost impossible for them to go have a beer with their mates down at the pub these days.
If it's on camera in a public setting though...
Well, it's illegal - like punching your wife in the face, or raping someone. Not necessarily saying it's on the same level, but if a scuffle with a teammate is seen as bringing the game into disrepute, I daresay breaking the law in any way is too.
Welp, I was on both Canberra and Sharks and changed my tips yesterday, which as a rule I never do. ****!!
Also, looks like Cronulla might be the real deal this year. I still think full strength it's us and Panthers, but perhaps not as big a gap as last year to the chasers.
And why Bellamy...
Exactly this, the tackle WAS NOT complete and we had every right to throw him into the first row of the stands, except the nuffie ref decided on a whim that he wasn't going to allow it.
So...isn't that assaulting a referee? Or do we gloss over it because she "took it well"?
Try doing that in any other workplace and tell me how it goes from your jail cell...
I mean, not to be a pearl-clutcher, but this is the world we live in, right?
It's possible (albeit unlikely) that during Origin (when we don't have byes) we will be running out:
1. Sailor
6. Rogers
7. Madden
That doesn't scare me as much as it would have at the start of the year, it's (almost?) as good as some starting lineups around the league.
And when the young guys come in, bust their arse and play well...while the experienced heads to play like shit...then the young guys get the blame for the result and get flogged or dropped... That is absolutely on the coaches and you don't think that might perpetuate the culture of entitlement...
