I keep hearing rumours that David Stagg is going to be signing with a Queensland Cup club for next season.
If he links with one of the Broncos affiliates, could be a more-than-handy call up from outside the top squad.
Apparently he strays too far from the team structure as well.
Bit of a tangent.. but I'd like to see a halves combo of 6. Wallace 7. Hunt given a shot. Remembering back to his U20s days, I think Hunt has got enough creativity in him, provided he's given a decent shot at the role of course. And...
Just about to mention that myself.
Last year he really brought back his running game, something that had disappeared too much from his game since the shift to five-eighth. Was great to watch.
Will need to pull out something special in FOGS, your boys have only lost twice all season. I think the biggest issue for Easts is belief, they definitely have the talent. Also need the pack to play an exceptionally tough game. Hope Maeli Seve is on song too, has the ability to tear a game open...
If someone forced me to pick, I'd say Redcliffe. But I honestly can't split them.
After watching them last week, I reckon Wynnum have peaked at the perfect time - their pack is definitely capable of rattling the Dolphins as well. The Phins are just so bloody dangerous though, can score from...
I actually haven't watched a Broncos game in about a month.
But as other have said, as emotional and passionate Origin makes you feel it is basically a two horse race. NRL seasons consist of 16 teams fighting it out across the course of 30 or so weeks. Premierships require a lot of things to...
Easts were in the top five all year as well, until they lost in Round 21. Rough break indeed, would have liked to have seen what they could do in the finals. Ah well, such is footy.
Didn't see them play today but I think Norths are a real chance of going all the way. And how did Redcliffe go...
My tipping has been terrible of late, wouldn't want to give any bad advice.. haha.
Will be a fair few fringe Broncos blokes in action for Norths in the TV game this Sunday. Lachlan Maranta, Scott Anderson, Kurt Baptiste, Brendon Gibb, Jarrod Wallace and more than likely Dunamis Lui as well.
Best and most complete team in the comp by a fair margin at the moment. Pack is as tough as nails, halves are smart and the backline is dangerous from anywhere on the field - more speed, acceleration and footwork than any other side. Going to take something special to stop Reddy from taking out...
Not sure I'm all that keen on Norman at fullback. He seems to lack urgency.
Even though he's leaving at the end of the year, I reckon Beale is our best bet. He's the best "all round" fullback we have at the club at the moment.
It's really not that left field to be honest. Despite the fact that Capewell's been playing 7 for Redcliffe this season, he's played more fullback than halves throughout the course of his career. More of a runner than out-and-out ball player.
And he's not that much of a rookie either, he...
The comments earlier in the thread nailed it.
Depth is the answer to solving a few of the problems in attack. But looking at the bigger picture, we're still travelling a lot better than the majority of other clubs - the attitude in defence is the massive plus.
Started incredibly well with three tries in the opening 12 minutes. But they dropped their intensity a bit after that, did enough to win though against a pretty clumsy Burleigh team. Needed to win it as well to stay in 4th spot. A big few games coming up.. Norths at Bashup Park, Tweed at home...
That's an absolutely ridiculous suggestion though. rna's had plenty of logic behind it.
And Glenn is the man for centre while we have Copley, Reed and Yow Yeh on the sideline. Especially if he can line up on Idris.
And what about Smith? One of the grubbiest players in the game.
The thought that he was 'protecting himself' is bulldust. He lashed out with a clenched fist and struck the other bloke in the chin, was definitely looking at his target as well.
Hope we play the Sharks with our full compliment...
