What is all the whinging and complaining about not getting a 9? We clearly see Mozer as our future and he has committed to us and understands he needs to still work on his game. He doesn’t appear to want to do ‘A Walsh’ and piss off just to get first grade time.
I see it as a good thing that...
Agree. I turned on with about 6 overs to go and thought I was going to be the reason we lost as they hit 5 6s in an over!
I don’t think Johnson gets games for SA if he doesn’t play for the Heat. He’s in some good form at the moment. Gotta hope we have him locked up as he would be an attractive...
Although it would have been nice to keep both players, you can’t blame them for taking the big money offers. My major issue with this whole thing is that the NRL allows players to sign with other clubs up to 18 months out from when they can actually play for them.
The whole NRL contract system...
Yeah, all those Rabbitohs supporters getting together, “Hey brah wasn’t it great last year when we lost the prelim final? Doesn’t matter that we didn’t win the premiership, ‘cause that’s not important at least we made the eight. Bro, I dropped my teeth.”
Making the prelims means nothing if you don’t win the GF. If you lose the prelim you finish in the exact same place as the wooden spooner - without a premiership.
For all those people calling for Farnworth to be dropped are kidding themselves surely. We spent the entire offseason training with Farnworth at centre. No way are we going to punt him before round 1. It would be reckless. Now if we get close to the trade deadline and we are languishing...
If memory serves me correct Farnworth didn't sign with the Broncos until late last season. Seems a strange move to sign a one year contract and then sign somewhere else early in the new season. Especially given he is going to a club that is just starting up next year. Strange one.
Whether he is the long term answer at hooker or whether he ends up being a bench/depth hooker it is great to see this attitude at the club. Rather than hearing of Haas wanting out, or Cobbo saying Kevvie is not a good coach, it is finally refreshing to see someone willing to fight it out for...
So many players leaving injured mid tour, media scrutiny and poor performances on the field. This is essentially what every touring team faces every time they come to Australia. Playing in away conditions should be tough. Just goes to show how mentally unprepared and how unskilled we are to...
