Oates has had a lot longer to get that skill, has also trained and spent time in the back row.
Gove cobbo another year or 2 of conditioning and trusting his body to commit to & win the impact and we’ll have a powerful ball returner.
I thought we we’re going to get smoked.
Without dissecting some of the 49/51 calls which could have lead to us either winning or being flogged (considering how close they came and just missed) I’ll take the 11 point loss against the premierships top side without our marquee player.
Worrying...
It’s a lack of leadership out there. Has been a problem even with Reyno on the field.
Talent galore but lacking outright leadership and accountability.
I’m as hopeful as you boys but the reality is a spine of Mam/Madden/Walters/Walsh isn’t going to match it up against Cleary/Luai/Kenny/Edwards.
Forwards will hold their own but Mam/Madden won’t be able to capitalise on any good possession and the first sign of adversity the spine will turn...

It’s still a team with plenty of Origin & Test players. Are they Penrith/Rabbitohs tier? No but they are still a team you should be beating if you want others to take you seriously.
Maybe next year 😞
The officiating wasn’t perfect (for either side) but we did absolutely NOTHING to help ourselves or get out of the mess we kept putting ourselves in.
Team should really look at that, no point being flat track bullies but getting shown up by the more professional sides.
I got no predictions nor feel safe on either side of the coin.
All I know is we are by form & team list the better side by quite a margin this year. Haven’t been able to say that for as long as I can remember.
However, given our history with Storm that won’t matter a piccaninny come the...
I thought Walsh looked more tempered and in control last week and Cobbo for mine has been getting better each week. I
Hope Staggs took some strong lessons from last week and puts them into play tonight.
Mam & Hass back tonight I have us a 20 point better team. We really are that much a better...
