In that World Cup that game was the game which the Russians were most excited about. The Australian players are their heroes and they mingled with them afterwards.
It's just hilarious how some people are thinking that NSW players really said that yet you're going off something some dud journo like Rothfield wrote. I watched the post game conference and interviews with the Blues players in the sheds after the game and not once did any of them say that...
Slater could be back, I feel he could've stopped a couple of the NSW tries but Boyd wasn't at fault and did everything he could for Queensland. If I was a Maroons fan I would be 50/50 on this.
Haven't posted my full thoughts on the game yet
That performance from NSW was one of the best I've ever seen from them, and I saw Joey dominate in 2005 and the 3 straight wins. They played to their potential rolling through the QLD forwards and giving Tedesco, Hayne and Maloney opportunities...
Holmes, Slater and Wallace should come in for you guys. Wonder if Holmes plays centre though as I thought Gagai was good despite his dropsie, made some strong runs and was hard to tackle.
I didn't understand some of the QLD selections and it has bitten them hard. More of that later.
For the Maroons I've been impressed by Gagai. Some strong runs from him and Milford has done some good stuff.
Now Guerra ***** up
He hasn't been playing to badly, he always lifts for Origin anyway
Very good first half from NSW loving the work of the wonderful Fifita, Peats is blocking very well in the middle as well. Queensland will need a huge second half to win this one.
High quality Rugby League here, Origin never...
Well what else do you expect them to say
"Oh we've got no chance at all, the Maroons have some of the greatest players in history blah blah blah"
The Wallabies always pump themselves up before the Bledisloe cup every year saying how confident we are feeling, this is the year it ends etc and...
