I wouldn't be shocked, nor worried, if Billy is in the 17 while Hunt is 6 and Mam's suspended.
But I would be both of those if he is still there when Mam comes back.
Totally loving the BigPete write-ups, but there's no such thing as too many Sproj lists ;)
Anyone accuses you of that, well they are entitled to their very obviously wrong opinion
Yeah, but it's an IF.....the $150k at Manly was an offer he already had.
There's no other way to interpret this, it was a bad move.
He backed himself to get more, and it seems he was wrong.
Except he isn't.
He has been in the NRL for 13 seasons and played 287 games.
In half of those seasons, he has played every game.
In all bar 3 seasons, he has exceeded 20 games.
In each of the 3 seasons he fell under 20 games, the injuries were not ones that are recurring due to the body...
So, in your world, prioritising your health to ensure you are at full fitness for the start of the actual season (you might know these as the games that matter), is a bad thing?
And you think I have something to get over - yeah, right.
It is nothing.
You either didn't bother to read the article, or you are just being disingenuous.
Here's a quote; "Luckily it wasn’t anything too serious, but the Broncos erred on the side of caution and sent Reynolds to undergo a minor clean-up procedure."
Of course it matters if it is shown they are not related. You claim you can't tell, well seemingly the police can, and they did not charge him with driving under the influence, so that is case closed on that matter.
As for not getting why people are up in arms, the only group of people...
I hear ya @Gaz
My comment that minor injuries shouldn’t double the penalty, actually wasn't an indication that I think that penalties / fines should reflect the extent or severity of injuries caused, it was just a reply to those people saying it justifies the difference in suspension between...
Who says I can't understand it?
Just because you and I come to a different conclusion as to the appropriate outcome doesn't mean I don't understand something.
I never said anything like he should not be suspended, or should only be a week or two.
I'm actually pretty happy with 9 weeks viewed...
And that crash was not related to the drugs in his system.
Even so, a crash where nobody was injured more than minor, shouldn't double the penalty.
Finally, my point (very clearly) was this incident will not bring an end to the belief that Broncos players are treated more harshly, and it hasn't.
It will do no such thing, unless Mam gets a penalty the same as prior incidents i.e. around 5 weeks
If/when he gets double what other people got for similar offences, it reinforces the inequity, it doesn't put it to bed
Braydon Trindall tested positive for recreational drugs, was over double the legal limit for blood alcohol, and was driving without a license. He copped a 5 week NRL suspension.
Josh Addo-Carr got 2 weeks NRL suspension after being caught driving under the influence of cocaine, all the while...
