Not the point. You can't make the All Blacks squad and be considered average.......unless you want to change your definition to average union player to 'Of the 30 players in the All Blacks squad, he was average.''

Also not sure how you can make a squad twice and be considered a token inclusion. They are the All Blacks.....

He sat on the bench a lot for the all blacks. Only saw about 5minutes playing time in one of the gfs.

How does sitting on the bench for the All Blacks make you an average player? Do you understand how big Union is in NZ?

I wonder if there was some kind of guarantee or handshake deal if he were to leave league. He is as much a marketing tool as he is a sportsperson. Nz ain’t that big btw.
