Why is there so much discussion? It's simple, sack souths and everyone will be happy, and the wasted money on that poor excuse of a club can be used to bail out the struggling NRL clubs.

Need to get rid of more than just Souths in Sydney though. There are too many teams, one just won't do it.

Maybe base it on crowd averages. That would probably still get rid of Souths too.

Souths got 20000+ to their game last week and I think you'll find their crowd averages last year were higher than most Sydney clubs. Telstra Stadium still looks empty most weeks but that's only because it's so big. And, financially, they are so much better off playing their games there than they are in a suburban ground or the SFS. So they are doing everything they can down there and do not deserve the boot. Plus, nowadays they are quite competitive most weeks.

Souths are not going anywhere. /thread
Haven't Crowe and Holmes a Court already said they're reluctant to put any more money into the club? If that's the case, I'm predicting souths to be in biiiig trouble in a couple of years sorry to say PB.

Aww thank you Jeb. No-one listens to me so thanks for saying that.

Plus Emma, it's not that they have said they aren't putting anymore money in it's more so along the lines of they want to club to be able to stand on their own feet because they can't keep putting money into the club. I think that is fair enough. Russel has been putting money into the club for god knows how long and I don't think he'll cut ties completely but the amount of money they have put in recently I know wouldn't be able to last forever. But as Jeb as said our crowds haven't been too bad last year and this year so far, our season ticket members have gone up by over 2000 already and will no doubt get more by the end of the year and in general we have over 14,000 members. Hopefully once the leagues club gets fixed and going we MIGHT get some money from that too although we never have in the past [icon_lol1.

I still think they'll find themselves in trouble in a couple of years I'm afraid. If they aren't able to stand on their own 2 feet, which to be honest could be a very real possibility, and Crowe and Holmes a Court aren't putting the same money in, it spells trouble. Unfortunately crowds aren't the be all and end all. Newcastle a while ago said they needed to average crowds of 20,000 just to break even. If they're any chance, they need to be more than just competitive each week, they need to start making finals series consistently.

Well obviously and no doubt other fans along with myself hope that to happen. I meant more so the money russ and PHaC put in to buy the club and also to get it out of debt. Thats the sort of money that they can't keep putting in.

And the Central Coast have the great John Singleton to help them out. Big plus for them.

I still wish Singo had been able to unseat News Ltd from control of the Broncos.

I too wish that Coxy.

Apparently Porky wanted to bring Singo into the consortium when the Broncos first started - wish that had happened as well.

Any organisation with Singo there is destined for success. I too wonder what life would be like at the Broncos if he had been brought in. And I know Wayne wanted him as well.

He brews an alright beer as well icon_thumbs_u

I hope Singo gets behind the Bears. I'd love to see the Coast get a side, and for that side to be the red and blacks would be fantastic.

Agreed re: the Bears. Just aslong as they consider reviewing the logo they released last week.

Personally I get the Phil Gould "No, no, no, no, no, no, no" running through my head when I look at it, but each to their own of course.

Someone just gave him the cattleprod.

I think players would love to play for a central coast side.. Awesome beaches and cheaper houses they could get paid less but actually have more.
