Corey was a better player when he was bigger. Now he's just average IMO. Consistent, dependable, but average.

i cant agree with a lot of those.

player of the year shouldve been Nick Kenny IMO, he was just outstanding. Thaiday wasnt our best forward IMO, again that would be kenny or then Sims after him. Thaiday played much better than in previous years though. Hodges as the best back? i dont think so. i wouldve given that to Yow Yeh. Sure hodges had a few crackers, but like usual he went missing (or was injured) for 3/4s of the season.

AP: the awards are based on 3-2-1 voting each week. The fact Yow Yeh didn't play all the games would count against him. Ditto Kenny. I know Hodges missed a few games through injury but played more than he has for years, and during the Broncos' poor spell he was one of the few generally having an impact.

Agreed. None of those 3-2-1 awards systems work IMO. Because often the most consistent performer is someone who doesn't often figure in the 3-2-1 points, but they're always 4th or thereabouts.

I think most consistent, rookie of the year, encouragement award etc are voted individually, but player of the year, players player, best forward and best back are all voted week by week through the season.
