If Thurston is out then the balance has to be right. Morgan and DCE are right side players same as Cronk, Milford and Munster prefer the left same as Thurston.
Queensland have had a very good balance with Cronk and Thurston, both play on their side and Boyd or Slater swing around. Cronk controls the overall field position and direction with Thurston creating opportunities and numbers.
They're both capable of getting into first receiver and setting up the forwards. I'd like to see someone in six who can fit that the best.
When DCE has been given a go he's struggled to adapt to "Cronk's team" which is fair enough. I'd go Munster, more robust defender, knows Cronk, Slater and Smith and won't overplay or change too much.
