Am i dreaming? How can you not have Gagai in the team. You blokes are off your head!
Its not ideal, but in 2001 7 forwards debuted in game 1... Kevin Campion, John buttegieg, Petero, Brad Meyers, Carl Webb, Chris Beatie, and John Doyle. Dane Carlaw also debuted in game 2. No problem with Lillyman and Myles if theyre best players available, but I think its time to move on, and there are other players ready. You don't blood 3-4 forwards in one origin game. The old heads are there for a reason. They know what it takes to get the job done. I have full faith in Lillyman and Myles to get the job done if selected.
Love to know the reason why Roberts isn't a contender. Just don't get it either. What more does James Roberts have to do to get selected ... It has been reported that Hayne and Dugan will be the centers for NSW ...
It is great news for QLD that the NSW selectors are still intent on giving them a helping hand
Reasoning: he joined the Broncos, rather than a Sydney/NSW team.
How about this for a Qld B team:
1. Slater
2. MacDonald
3. Munster
4. Copley (I'm struggling here)
5. Holmes
6. Hunt
7. Taylor
8. Bolton
9. McCullough/Friend
10. Wallace
11. Cooper
12. Lowe
13. Hess
14. Granville
15. Lawrence
16. Sims
17. Kaufusi
I honestly think we (Qld) are in trouble in this first game.
1 While Boyd is all class , Slater is in a class of his own. The best full back I have ever seen. Big mistake leaving him out. He looks fully fit and rearing to go. Boyd should be in the team ,just not fullback.
2 I honestly don't think Milford is ready to play 5/8 in origin. His kicking and his passing game is just not there yet. Beter option would have been Morgan , Slater or Boyd or even DCE. Just hope JT makes it back.
3 Picking Myles is taking the staying loyal thing a bit too far. He is doing nothing at Manly. Hess would have been a much better choice.
4 Its a tossup between Gagai and Holmes , but I would have gone with Holmes.
