just leaves you with a overweight fullback a 6 that cant keep his cool and goes missing and a hooker whos best days are behind himBetter finding that out now after a year and fixing it, than waiting 6 years for nothing to happen. I'd have been happier to make the grandfinal probably. But I am glad we missed all together tbh. Means there will be meaningful change. I am just happy we bit the bullet and moved on the player we knew couldn't get us over the line in the biggest game of the year.
I agree with Tallis, not because I think Reynolds isn't playing well or worth re-signing but things change pretty quickly at 33. At the same age and premiers Alf just pulled the pin in April 99.
Who would have thought in September 98 that was on the cards?
I'd be letting Reynolds have a break, assure him he's wanted and needed but let's talk in April when you've done a pre-season and come back for a few rounds.
Got to be honest and transparent with him, but it's no good for anyone if he signs on for 25 and then in April wants out.
If it gets to April and he says I will wind up at the end of this year, you've saved yourself some heartache.
Or he says I feel great, I want another year, you can make an informed choice.

I think Mam was dry reaching because it was pickle juice.I haven’t seen anyone mention this but Mam was dry heaving trying to force down some liquid after one of his tries. This in addition to Walsh’s digestive issues, wtf are they giving these guys and where can I get some?
This is all well and good, but these opinions are always lacking the next bit from dud journos.
Who the **** are we putting there? We can't have a convo about signing/not re-signing him if we don't discuss just what the club will do with that position. It's a position that the club always struggles to fill. Pointless conversation to be having if we have our eyes on one of our own juniors, we need a big player there.
His decisions and kick decisions matteredPeople love to forget we wouldn’t even be at the grand final without Reynolds…… He was the most important piece to our puzzle. Yes he had a bad game but it happens. It’s unfortunately what was meant to be on Sunday. I’ve said my peace on how bad he was on Sunday but I would not say he doesn’t deserve to be part of our club anymore. He deserves more respect than that for what he has done for our club and for the boys in that team
It did and he had a terrible game that put a lot of pressure on the younger boys. We’ve admitted that. But it wouldn’t mean that he isn’t worthy of wearing the jersey anymore. It unfortunately was not his night but just because he had a bad game (even if it is the GF) doesn’t mean we don’t need him anymore. He will hopefully learn from this and next year he’ll be better for it. I think we need to keep him signed until we find a replacement that is ready and can be just as good if not better than Reynolds. I would love if after he’s done with playing he can continue working with the Broncos tooHis decisions and kick decisions mattered
The minute it was game over, i switched off the stream, haven't looked at any NRL related stories, and same with any social media. No need to really, when you know that all you are going to see/read/hear is how good penrith were .. and how horrific Broncos were. The things that the media are saying about Reynolds are so disrespectful. Like he didn’t have a great game, but without him we aren’t in the 8 let alone the grand final. People like Read and Tallis can go **** themselves, absolute scum.
