2024 Pacific Championship

That's just embarrassing for the game that they reckon they can rule that a knock on but if it's not touched they can't tell

Tonga start off like a house on fire, but once their pack goes off they lose steam pretty quickly

They really lack some oomph in the middle third.

There’s talk a lot of players could switch allegiance to the Pacific Island nations for the upcoming World Cup. If they can convince the likes of Fifita and Moe to switch and Tatola can find form again, they could have a side that could do some damage in that tournament.

Hopefully a couple of young guns emerge in between now and then.

Did I watch the same team? They belted us in the middle for a majority of the game. If anything they lack a few classy backs to ice the opportunities.

PNG are a very well coached team. Not sure it will be much of an upset if they get this done.

Did Taumalolo eat North Queensland before the series....... 😲

Put Tonga’s forwards with Samoa’s backs, you’ve got an almost unbeatable team.

Having the Kiwi vs PNG game after the main game of Aus vs Tonga at the same stadium was literally the dumbest thing ever.

The relegation game should have been on Saturday.

I thought most of Tonga's backs were decent, if they had Staggs for example they would have had a bit more danger, but where Tonga I feel really needs something extra is fullback, Hopoate is capable of some impressive stuff but he didn't show any of it against Australia, and played a game where he was completely man handled.

Sonni Luke was honestly impressive at Hooker and Tonga's Halves did a good job as well, Katoa was great in this series and I think he will take that experience into next year, AFB was the best Forward on the ground.

If there is one player Tonga could have had but didn't pick it would be TPJ, they needed someone to provide some adhoc to destabilise the Aussies when on the line, Tonga had no spark to create something, they had all the ball and should have been able to win that game honestly, it wasn't that different to the first game they played they lost purely on a lack of attacking spark.
