Q-CUP 2024 Queensland Cup Discussion

Because he is playing purely for the love of the sport and is supported financially through his boxing and previous NRL career, Pangai Jr is in a comfortable enough position that none of his match payments this year will go into his own pocket.

Instead the 28-year-old is working with Souths Logan to see his match payments go towards charities in Logan and Ipswich that base their work around fixing youth crime and helping the next generations.

...the sport he hates but his parents forced him to play? Can the dude lie straight in bed?

He's giving up his pay; which is probably only 10-15k but he's still giving it up and playing for nothing.

I can only applaud that.

He's on the bench tomorrow.

JWH and Napa the Roosters Cup front row tomorrow. What odds a send off?

Karapani playing for Bears tomorrow.
Is that on the wing or centres do you know? Obviously usually a centre but Leo is the clear odd one out.

Any news on Toia’s injury either?

Bears warming up this season, looked super clunky first two rounds but now Black and his outside backs are finding some space and rhythm.

Black nice long pass to his right and Kelly Donavan slams it down in the corner.

Though they might be clunky after the week off. Tonihi just a speedster, get him the ball is all Black has to do.

Round two I thought Black just sat on the right and kicked- twice now this set three weeks later he's on the left and linking with McConnell.

McConnell to Black and Black puts his winger over with a pass. That's two last passes for tries on different sides of the field in the last 10 minutes.

Love a six and seven together and love working both sides.

Black again on the left, nice over the top pass, Norths touch it but can't stop it- Tonihi scores.

Black chips, gets it back, kicks again, Norths beat him to it- drop out.

Madden at 6 for Wynnum, Falls moved to 1 and Paix at 9.

Hunt playing second row.

Just saw that myself, I can’t say I’m overly happy that our back up and likely halfback in a bit over 18 months is playing 6.

Paix has played for Clydesdales, Norths, Redcliffe, Souths and Wynnum.
