2025 Dally M Awards

They should have finally given Cleary a coach of the year.

If you didn't know, they were last at one point.
 
The coach of the year is a funny award.... its basically "coach from team who suprised most". Thats in every sport. Some of the greatest coaches ever in their sports have never got the award.

Ivan Cleary
Eric Spoelstra for example.

I think that's balance tho.

If cleary was to get coach of the year it may have been 2020... but he's had a gun team since. (as well as then)

There were a few people picking raiders for bottom 4 this year (mind you they were just podcasters). Sticky turned that team into minor premiers... thats a good achievement...

everyone knew they were cannon fodder come finals (obv) but still a good coaching performance IMO

The bookies had raiders as favourites for the spoon at the start of the year.
 
They probably had to give Ricky something or his head would explode, after his finals campaign.

I dont really understand so many panthers in the award nominations.

They were coming last halfway through the year and even then finished 7th... sure they came home with a wet sail, but they still played shithouse to start the year which had them in last.
