Nice little pass to get the second rower over... he actually looks pretty fit
Let me bag him out man, come on.
*Yes he has been mostly pretty good.

It was a little bit of "stop he's already dead" from me to throw him a bone hahaLet me bag him out man, come on.

Big Payne in attendance watching the reggies... great to see
We need to hope the salary cap goes up so that $1.1m for a prop becomes the current $900kI don't think we are losing him hey, he just seems fully invested in the club now. He might well be next captain, what a bloke for others to get behind.

Second year syndrome. Would have been a handy year for Perham to stay on the field. Don’t think Latrell is gonna get a game. Walshy won’t be origin either tho at least.Seigwalt is not a fullback.
I think he got an HIA or injury about 5mins into his stintMy thoughts and to be honest I missed the first 5 mins but here we go:
Semu - I didn't really notice him. I'm not sure how many minute he played to be honest. I know he has been injured and it is just one game but I don't see any improvement there on last year.
He's no kid either: he's 23.Second year syndrome. Would have been a handy year for Perham to stay on the field. Don’t think Latrell is gonna get a game. Walshy won’t be origin either tho at least.
For me, really only Mozer stood out in a "100% ready for first grade" kind of way. No need to bring him in yet, but if he strings a few games like this together, next stop should be 14. Then he needs a few weeks to audition for 9, before Ezra enters the mix.My thoughts and to be honest I missed the first 5 mins but here we go:
Latrell - Not first grade standard, so if we lose Walsh and Cobbo for origin or injury at some point, I am not sure what to do here - do we go left field and bring back Milf at fullback?
Leota - He drifted in and out of the game but had some really nice touches - a bat back for a try and a really high pressure kick defusal. Some good carries in yardage as well. He's definitely on the improve which is exciting because at his size and speed, if he can make grade, he'll be a handful.
Coby - He looked like he marshalled the side ok but seemed to be a bit second fiddle to Milf. He is still so young for a half, he just looks like he has everything you want in a young half. Will we see him debut this year? I think so but it would be either a game in junk time of the season when we are resting everyone or if we are decimated origin...and I think he'll hold his own.
Taupau - He was a bit loose. He ran with venom as he always does but had a couple of drops and loose offloads. I would want to see less of that to bring him back in to first grade. A great option to have sitting in reserve though.
Smoothy - He played a Brandon Smith type role where he started at 9 and then shifted in to lock and more than looked comfortable there. He is going to be a standout in the ESL next year and I am really surprised another NRL club didn't snap him up.
BTK - He looks big, fit and strong. I would like to think he has jumped Taupau in the pecking order and he will see a number of games this season I think, just a matter of when. If Kobe is out next week injured, I would think he comes in instead of Taupau but we will see I suppose.
Mozer - Statement game from him. We wanted to see him make a difference when he came in and boy did he what. He looked about two classes above while out there. Absolute weapon in attack and more than held his own in defense. He'll be in first grade shortly once he gets up to speed and how exciting to say he is now way too good for Cup.
Semu - I didn't really notice him. I'm not sure how many minute he played to be honest. I know he has been injured and it is just one game but I don't see any improvement there on last year.
The comeback shouldn’t cover up the glaring holes in Souths.
Latrell isn’t doing anything he wasn’t doing last year. Few mistakes, score a try make 150m. Last year he did it in a good team and in a team making 3 handling errors this year his team is making 13 a game.
Leota is on 9 from three games- most in the comp and Latrell is 5 from three.
That’s four a game from two of your back three. That becomes seven in NRL.
Hunt clearly has a type at fullback and it’s the opposite of him for some reason. Souths players were clearly frustrated yesterday at the handling.
