I don't think I would trust bringing Tesi back... nothing to do with his workrate, but more so to do with ability.

I think dolphins would've kept him if they were seeing the value there.

He has the makings to be a Taruva style workhorse winger so maybe he will reinvent himself in that role over in the ESL... possibly one to keep an eye on, but he can likely forge on and have a pretty successful career over in the ESL as well

Yeah I think he will too. I certainly wouldn't be doing anything stupid to chase him, just think he is a realy good back up player, similar to Perham in that he can play anywhere in the backline. He's playing centre at the moment for Leigh and it basically their go to game breaker. He isn't throwing dumb passes anymore or having brain explosions. I think he would be the perfect next man up for us.

I didn't really notice any serious physicality with him yesterday...the bloke is over 190cm and well over 100kg.

He should be absolutely trucking blokes in yardage sets and fullbacks should be scared shitless heading towards his wing.

In the end I didn't really notice him all that much.

Maybe he's still learning the game and it would seem that he had a major growth spurt between this year and last year or so, so maybe he doesn't realise how bloody big he is in a footy sense.

8 runs for 82m on the website... and two of those runs were presumably his 10m untouched for easy putdowns. Also only 9 post contact meters... that seems insanely low for a guy his size.

I would want to see double those hitups and run meters from a guy his size and a ton of post contact and broken tackles

I keep saying he very much plays like someone that had five years off the game. Really, he's a 16-year-old not a 20-year-old. This is his third year out of high school and the discussion is still, will he?

That tells me everything.

Leota handling error count now 16 in 9 games. In good news he's dropped to number two seed behind Baker's 17 handling errors in nine games.

Over to you Israel.

Yeah I think it's time for Mozer to come in... his shoulder will either go or it won't, but in attack and around the ruck he's better than all the other hookers we have. Pair him up with Billy and hope the shoulder holds up.

When he came on the field it looked like it was his team at that point. HE was leading the linespeed in defence and was good at choosing when to call his own number or feed it along the backline... everything just looked smooth whilst he was out there.

He looked like a leader when he was on the field.

He's keeping Souths above water when he's on there, but I also think it's what's holding him back.

His Bronco mates are letting him down. Mozer has three penalties in his seven games and one handling error.

Handling errors- Black 8 in 9 games, Latrell 8 in 8 games- that's pretty much two a game from your spine. Leota 17 in nine games.

Penalties Black seven in 9 games, Leota 6 in 9 games, Te Kura 6 in 9 games.

So pretty much two penalties and three dropped balls a game just from Broncos.

I think his play looks bad by default of being in this team. Sometimes I get the feeling he looks up sees his Broncos and thinks who the hell do I give this to? Then he looks unsure and disjointed.

Plus, when you win 52-32 it looks like you have no attention to detail or care about defence- which NRL coaches hate and don't want and when you're touching the ball more than anyone in said side it sticks to you.

It looked a little stop start in the game yesterday... Toowoomba giving away so many penalties in yardage to gift field position and then conceding almost instantly.... but I thought Mozer was looking confident whilst he was on the field... especially in his second stint.

In defence it seemed like it was Souths edges that were getting carved up... but that can sometimes occur when the middle is conceding... wasn't paying too much attention to focus on if the middle defence was conceding quick ptbs and giving room to spread it to the edges.

Consider what Mozer is dealing with weekly and compare that to Grant in 2019 at the Falcons with Hynes at fullback, Murphy in the halves and himself at 9.

22 games
14 tries
21 try assists- third in the comp
line break assists 22- fifth in the comp
100m a game
879 tackles- second most in the comp
Top 3 Petero Medal
Cup hooker of the year
Falcons player of the year

Mozer watches Leota drop another ball.

This might sound a little strange but there was a few games I watched Mozer play for the Broncos last year and it almost seemed like he was one step ahead of the rest of the squad.

I've always thought I was over thinking it a little but there were times when he jumped out of dummy half or looked one way and went the other and there was none of our guys around him. Probably just a different type of hooker then what our lads are used to but it just left me with the feeling he was almost too smart for the players around him.

Mozer's a momentum player, he creates on the back of it.

We haven't seen the best of him yet because he hasn't really got to play his style. He came on usually 10 minutes after the middles had been interchanged, so they're already half gassed. So he's always running up hill.

Put him on the same time you put Willison, Jensen, Te Kura on and let him play behind fresh legs.

Or start him and let him work of Payne and Carrigans momentum. Halves will have to give him some licence.

I wasn't impressed with Te Kura at all.

The Broncos have little choice but to play him, but he doesn't have the balance to assert himself either with or without the ball. His one major contribution in attack was a poor attempt at offload.

Thought Semu gave him a run for his money. Shame about his defence on the Clydesdales opening try- can't get away with that. However the Broncos could do worse than give him the Bennett style 50-70 minute cameo run.

I said similar last week that slow Te Kura run up to the line will get him killed. He has to find some intensity. He just thinks walk up make my 10m go back and do that 9 times and I am done.

It's like a baby elephant just waddling across the grasslands.

Sounds like good news for the younger guys twiddling their thumbs after Meninga and not quite able to get a run at Cup level
Ah yes remember them talking about this earlier in the year.

Now if the QRL chucked a video feed up of the games / allowed the clubs to do their own broadcast I'm sure there would be viewers

Don’t really know where to have the discussion but seems most appropriate here.

Broncos u20’s side predicted line up:

1. Saxon Innes
2. Bailey Trew
3. Antonio Verhoeven
4. Phillip Coates
5. Disharne Tonihi
6. David Bryenton
7. Braithen Scott
8. Beni Allen
9. Cameron Bukowski
10. Dirhys Sefo
11. Jett Bryce
12. Jared Horne
13. Tupou Francis
14. Preston Cassidy
15. Fa’Apple Feaunati
16. **** knows
17. **** Knows

Concerningly a lot of blokes still in school required to make an u20’s team. You’d assume Broncos won’t disrespect Black and Leota at this stage potentially.

@1910 and @BigPete will know more blokes. The Bailey Mcconnnells of the world I have no idea on there status or whereabouts even these days so kind of hard to include.

Well I got shut down pretty ****ing quickly

1. Saxon Innes
2. Finn Kendall
3. Phillip Coates
4. Thomas Morcom
5. Disharne Tonihi
6. Ryder Abell
7. Bailey Mcconnell
8. Michael Waqa
9. Preston Cassidy
10. Brady Turner
11. Marley Igasan
12. Jett Bryce
13. Jackson Koina
14. Kylem Vunipola
15. Zane Ford
16. Dirhys Sefo
17. Matthew Schultz

Michael Waqa is a decent pickup. Saw his name had ventured onto the Broncos feeder clubs lists of late and wondered if we had picked him up or he had just fallen out of favour with the phins and ended up at Souths. Don't mind that.

No inclusion of cup players (fair enough).

Interestingly Creedence Toia is marked as an out and no player has been named at fullback for Burleigh cup side so Innes might be a scratching to play that. Lachlan West still on the bench though so unlikely.

Not surprised Schoolboys aren't named as they shouldn't be but I am a bit surprised by the absence of Trew and Allen. Could just be injured as well, but I know Allen played BRL last week so would have to eb fresh.

Will be an interesting watch.

Zac Herdegen and Maddox Goodwin the only real names of note in the cows team.

Has a team list been named somewhere?
Never mind found it here

Trew has opted to play BRL in order to play against men, he had a week off to settle some niggles.

Big day for Magpies, Bears at Bears on a wet cold day. Exact type of day Souths go all too hard.

Titans 12-0 at HT.

Dolphins come back to win 40-22. It wasn’t too bad a game. Fein was strong. Bai could play Cup.
