Q-CUP 2025 Queensland Cup Discussion

Not sure this comment is factual correct.

In the 5 games he played. 3 of the 5 were top 5 teams.
Agreed, Norths had a day out. Although he did get player of the match for Souths.
Beat PNG In PNG and got man of the match and team of the week.
Sunny Coast. Souths won.

Good instincts I wasn’t right.

Not sure what I was looking at but Coast and Hunters of course made finals.

Sualauvi Faalogo back playing for Falcons are a stay at North Sydney last year.

Nelson and Anderson back playing Cup.

He'll be in the starting side next week and for some reason ready to rip and tear like it's a GF for a coach that doesn't even want him.

My concern is if Payten gets sacked this week and it wouldn’t surprise me if he does.

Relying on Cup and Meninga to fix dark thoughts from last night.

Black and Latrell together for the first time.
Leota v Quai Ward
Hoeter v Karapani
Rogers v Madden
Bukowski starting for the first time
Allen v the Bears pack
Hunt v the Bears pack
Innes just being the field
Bears backline Tonihi, Verhoeven, Coates.
Anything Bryce does
Sefo v Starr
Fein (Not a Bronco but form half of the competition and see if he can pull Souths apart.)

Fein? You would hope he would pull Souths apart if according to you he is “the form half” of the competition and Souths are second last on the table. So does that mean you prefer Fein over Harrison at Seagulls. That’s a big call.

Souths start cost them, if you have to wait until 20-0 down to get moving you're going to lose. They came back and scored twice before half time which was promising and scored the first try of the second half but then just fell away and let Redcliffe keep moving.

Te Kura sitting in the ruck for Purcell's try, not good enough
Leota chasing a break and tackling from behind- good.
Semu- good effort and try in the right corner which should have fired up Souths.
Black alright- try was at the death and just sort of dummied through.

Few glimpses of hope for Souths but too much of the same as 24. They do something good and then three things silly.

Really a pack with Te Kura, Smoothy, Semu and Taupau shouldn't start like that. Especially when they know a chance to play Friday night is there.

First three tries for Dolphins scored by Fien- third one was the best. He's always on the ball and involved, probably runs too much but high involvement is his weapon.

Fien now 8 tries in four games in Meninga.

Kendall excellent hole running in a good win for Souths.

Bukowski didn't start.
Bears first two tries there wasn't a Seagull in the picture. First four all in the same corner.
Bukowski on in the 18th minute and Wynnum score less than 10 minutes later. He gives Madden width.
Allen is playing before the line and Delouise is scoring off kicks.
Then Bukowski kicks for Allen's first Cup try- good chasing.
Bukowski nice ball for Grant try.
Maden chasing a kick with the winning try.
Good win after being down four tries.
Bears just played for 20 minutes and were really poor after that period.

Bryce nice pass to Rafferty to score on the right.
Innes on the left throws a beautiful pass for Tonihi to score.
Innes with a fantastic run from the scrum, gets Bears to five metres out and long pass to Tonihi to score untouched- two tries about 10m in total and hasn't been touched.
Innes long pass for Tonihi third.
