Horrific start for Gundry.

Cowboys kick down to his wing, he misses it completely and it bounces up perfectly for the Cowboys to score in the opening set of the game.
 
Gundry beats one fires a no look flick pass and finds Poese who races 20m to dot down in the corner.
 
Great pass from Gundry and great to see a winger carry the ball in the correct hand so he can fend.

Great play.
 
Gundry ruled off-side on a kick-chase as the Cowboys fullback spills it.

Flicking back, I think Gundry was hard done by there. Was about to go crook for giving his fanbase PTSD, but looked like the touchie just guessed.

Now another Bronco ruled off-side going for a cross-field kick.
 
Broncos continue to be unable to stop forward momentum, teams just make so much ground against them. The only thing saving them against the Cowboys and Titans is the attack is all on same level but against the Dolphins they will continue to get beaten until they can stop it.
 
Broncos roll up the field. Feaunati with a couple of strong carries and a couple of half-breaks from McConnell and Verhoeven. Scott goes down the blind-side finds Abell with a pass but it's ruled forward. It looked line-ball from where I'm sitting.
 
Cowboys receive a penalty, Gundry fails to secure the grubber kick and the Cowboys execute a simple spread down the left to put Dittman over on the wing.

Dittman might score four or five it the Broncos right side defence doesn't start showing some combination and communication.
 
Cowboys #10 Cherif sent to the sin bin for dissent.

Nobody at dummy half, but the Cowboys defence dives on the ball to concede the penalty.

McConnell loses patience, fires it out to Poese and he just steps the winger to stroll over. Poese improves the position for his fellow winger.

Abell still misses the kick.

Cowboys 12-8 HT.
 
Poor attention to detail to let Poese run around under the posts. I like McConnell every time I see him play; you can tell he's been playing A grade. He is tough.

The two wingers marking each other have scored two tries each- Under 20's aye.
 
I thought it couldn't have got much worse than the start to the first half.

Cowboys literally score off the kick off.

Scott and Whaiapu look at one another, nobody takes the kick and the Cows stroll over.

18-8 Cowboys.
 
McConnell with another half-break. Broncos go short-side, Coates kicks for himself but the Cowboys fullback Lenoy Sam scoops it up and finds himself in space. He dances around the field until the ball slips out of his hand and the Broncos have it. After a penalty, Broncos just work it through the middle and Saunders is able to get Waqa 1-1 right underneath the posts to get the reply for the Broncos.

Under 20s footy.
 
Broncos right on the attack again, Waqa and Feunati go close but the Cowboys defence rallies. Scott grubbers from dummy half, Cows fail to defuse it and the Broncos receive another chance.

Scott goes looking for Verhoeven, Cows hold on. Scott decides to go back then, fire up a pass to Abell but Abell has to reach behind him and spills it in the process.
 
Broncos playing some very impatient footy in the redzone. They settle it down, McConnell goes to the air and Poese takes it cleanly and dots down in the corner.

We're all locked up.
 
Brisbane with all the territory and possession but they're struggling to crack the Cowboys.

Turner off the back fence crashes over but the officials rule an obstruction.

Gundry spills another kick at the back and the Cows get another set. They eventually score off an easy 1-1, Coates fails to make the tackle.

Cows 22-18 with less than 15 to go.
 
Cows with a poor kick give Brisbane a 7 tackle set.

Brisbane just work it up the middle. McConnell turns it inside to Ford who slices through steps the fullback and scores adjacent the posts. Good run from the #17.
