The next TV rights deal makes it delicate as well... Foxtel will be under new ownership, which will be an international this time around.The cap is going to be a factor. Even Haas at his best i'm not sure is worth the investment. Of course, a lot is going to depend on the development of BTK and Willison now. If they both keep stepping up, its going to make it easier to not get into a ridiculous bidding war to keep Payne. If they dont, we have an issue.
Will they be seeing the same valuation in league as what Foxtel under Murdoch sees.
Foxtel TV rights has been carrying the competition (AFL and NRL) to these heights, but if they go away or fall back to the pack (Ch 9, 7, etc.), will there be an adjustment to the salary cap and how does that flow on to these high salary players.
They wont want to reduce their salaries, but will the money be there after they've taken their slice
