[2025 Trial] Broncos vs Bulldogs

Hope so. Kayo is ass.

"Maximum number of streams reached" on the tv app. I don't have anything else playing.

Turn on phone app, match loads fine. Turn off phone app.

"Maximum number of streams reached".

Rubbish
I just don't like that I will have to stream live sport soon... it's just not reliable enough... especially with the shithouse internet speeds within Australia as it is.

Imagine watching origin or the grand final on a stream and it's cutting in and out... would be fucking fuming and would take you out of the experience

One thing I hated to see was the post game presser where Walsh took a swipe at Flanagan. Not that I don't think Flanagan is a fuckwit for having a shot in the first place, I just wish they would let their football do the talking. It also makes me think that Madge may not have them as disciplined as much as I would like.
I don't mind it. I dont like it when one of ours is an instigator, but Flanagan took a very public swipe at one of his team mates first, so for mine it's fair game.

As long as he now walks the walk, I have no issue returning serve.

Mate try starlink. Never had any dramas anywhere round the country.

StarLink sucks compared to SkyMuster now
I've used Starlink in a few places. It's pretty impressive, fast, and relatively low latency. But it does drop out, and it's affected by weather. Skymuster's satellites are further away so it's slower and higher latency. I don't know much else about it. Everyone I know out west has Starlink.

SkyMuster has had major upgrades, where Starlink has major congestion. Our west not as many people, but you can't purchase StarLink plans at the moment in SEQ at least.

I've only used Starlink myself overseas, but in various places. Lot of folk in the Scottish Highlands rely on fixed wireless. Like I said, it's great for them but it does drop out, especially somewhere like that with persistent shitty weather. I think switching satellites isn't always as seamless as it's made out to be either. A lot of so-called digital nomads and boaties are carrying the mobile gear now, and sharing the connection. You can even get it going on a plane, if that's something you'd care about.

It's pretty good tech. You pay for it though.

Just watching highlights .
The Dogs winger that almost Sualii `d Walsh should have been binned . No attempt to use his arms in a dangerous high tackle .
Now hear me out . Yes there was no damage done . But ,, it could have been an opportunity to set a precedent . Go at play makers kamikaze style you will be side lined .
Not a good advertisement the "face" of your organisation being taken out brutally and illegally .Again and again .

It was at the very least a shoulder charge. There was zero attempt to wrap and he made forceful contact. He definitely should have been binned for that...

That being said - Kotoni has gotten away with a dozen of those over the last few seasons... we need to call it out, but we also need to make sure we're not hypocrites. Even Walsh has dropped a few in attempting try savers.

Manage Starlink for a number of my clients in remote areas.

Common problems:
- Frequent dropouts when transitioning between satellites - sometimes it's minimal - other times we've seen these drop streams for ~ 30 seconds.

- Geo IP Identifiers - they use a unique Dynamic Geo-IP assignment - which frequently falls foul of streaming providers, one day it will report as Australia, the next, Argentina and Kayo / Foxtel will block it.

- Upload issues - even though it's advertised as like 5-20Mbps upload, we've had times were some are lucky to get 0.5Mbps upload for periods lasting hours.

- Hardware failures - support have increasingly become challenging to deal with when there are hardware issues, it's sometimes easier to just buy replacement parts rather than argue with their support for 5 days.

This was my exact thought.

He came in hard off his wing as a blatant shoulder charge... there was zero attempt to wrap the arms and zero attempt to lower the shoulder.

The highly likely outcome if Reece doesn't step away is forceful shoulder contact to the head after the pass. The fact he didnt lower his shoulder despite having ample time to make a decision on contact zone suggests intent ie. he decided to not lower his shoulder.

Them having barely any punishment of it is greenlighting this action for other teams.

Dogs fans were blowing up on their forum about what the penalty was even for... completely ignoring the right arm tucked in ready to shot him.

Also why is it always Reece that is getting targeted with shoulder charges??

I watch a lot of footy and fullbacks do take shots, but most of the time they're coming in low to drive through the ribs. I wouldn't care if that's what the plan was for Reece, but instead they're all head hunting him.

Every time I see Reece sweeping out the back I hold my breath waiting for a Suaalii torpedo to come flying at his face.

It's ruining my enjoyment of the game, because it looks like a deliberate act to take him out specifically, which means I have to worry whenever he plays that he might get his head taken off and we don't get to watch him for the next month.

It's not like Reece is the only quick and dangerous fullback out there... so why isn't it happening across the board to other fullbacks like Drinkwater, Teddy, Paps, etc.

I literally have not had a single problem with Kayo since it launched. I struggle to comprehend how so many people have the amount of issues they do all the time.

Anyway, competition is good, but I worry how long it would take before Netflix cancelled that as well

I wouldn't care if Staggs got binned for them... he misses 90% of the ones he goes for so it might stop him from fucking up the defensive line.

All they need to do is lower the shoulder and it's fine... stop with these torpedo shoulder charges... it's completely fucked

I'm not sure if it's been mentioned, but NRL.com has credited Marty Taupau with 181m from 17 runs.
I’m not sure why you’re mentioning this in the WiFi thread but yeah Marty was a beast in the trials.

The big fella needs to get a bench spot until someone can take it from him. Best forward of the trials imo.
