When first released they were sold with an "embroidered logo" but there was also a preorder disclaimer that the product feature "might change" and that customers can return once received or cancel their order.What’s the drama over the embroidered logos v the laminated ones? Have we been ripped off ordering early?
My theory is that the number of orders were so ridiculous that Asics was like nah our suppliers cannot embroider this volume, so we will sublimate the logo (a little bit different and better than laminated logos which as @ningnangnong mentioned are absolutely trash, and just fall off). Sublimated logos change the colour of the fabric through gas so can't wash out. Even though embroidery is done by machines now I would say that 100 logos could be sublimated for every 1 embroidered logo.
I don't think that there is much drama, but maybe the club should have expected that volumes after winning a premiership would be enormous and just listed them with a sublimated logo from the start.
