2026 NRL General Discussion Thread

Agree it prob doesn't get off the ground.
They will need a lot of RUnion players and with the World Cup looming most will be reluctant to give that up for $$.

Yes I think they will if enough players say it's what is holding them back.
Any obstacle stopping players from signing will be challenged .
If they dont get the players in the first place they have no product.
I would imagine the argument is the same across the board. If R360 argue against a Rugby board and win then that finding probably stands up everywhere.

But in that case there will be nothing to challenge because no player has officially been banned from the NRL.

And remember they're not just sourcing players from the NRL, so unless every other governing body takes the same stance they'll still have a comp.

**** that makes my head hurt.
Opinion is split across the board I've heard lawyers on both sides of the argument so until it goes in front of a judge it doesn't matter what anybody thinks.
It's a crap idea let's hope it fails.

Dogs have released a new logo and good lord does it look bad.

Deadset looks like AI slop

Both are tragically childish. Both look like they were losing entries in a grade 6 competition to see who could come up with a badge for the local footy team.
I think their current one is a throwback to one of their original ones... so the fans were stoked at the time.

It would be like broncos bringing back the old horse and then replacing it with AI slop

At least it’s slightly better than the pig they had for 10 years.

Reports that the Titans could know within days whether Bellamy will coach them in 2027...

So in the unlikely event Bellamy risks his legacy by taking charge of the NRL's basket case club .... It would mean that Hannay effectively gets sacked before he even starts.

I guess we finally said get lost to the annual Bellamy to us pitch from the manager to drive up his price at Melbourne and he went to the Titans instead. They of course are unaware they are being used as always happens with Bellamy.

As long as they didn't spend 300k on it I don't see the problem.
