Ok got it, so the Storm paid the Eels fees out of the goodness of their heart and waved Lomax on principle. Such a wonderful, upstanding club aren't they to do something beautiful like that just because they are such great blokes.

Their only mistake was having their emails leaked and underestimating the Eels gall to stick to what Lomax and his idiot manager negotiated with them on his release. They were never going to win the case.

But don't act like they were the big bad wolf in anything that happened. The Eels just wanted to get one over them. I guess they still aren't over 2009...

I don't understand Storm sympathisers but I guess you have your reasons. Point's clearly made for all to see, so I'll move on.

Call it what you want. They don't get the benefits you and people like you say they do on the field and off it.
 
The issue with Melbourne is that they didn't accept no as an answer.

There was nothing wrong with them taking a crack at Lomax and negotiating. However when the Eels made it clear they didn't accept the Storm's offer they should have backed away. They threw a public tantrum, didn't get their way and now they've embarrassed themselves further.
