Lomax has signed a two year deal with the Western Force (Super Rugby)

What are the odds of him actually seeing out a deal.

He'll do one year and then play for the Bears I reckon, the NRL will step in to make it allowable.

While this may change, the Bears don't seem to be interested.

And TBH, I don't blame them, Lomax's character is the opposite of what you need when trying to build a club

Fair points too but I reckon they might be forced into ala Hayne to the GC.

AND, they'll be desperate for a marquee player soon enough. Solid forwards on big coin won't have them in the highlight reels, and a new club needs some highlights. The Dolphins' forwards have done an amazing job for them so far, but it's Kar-toa, The Hammer, Herbie that provide the sugar to grow the fanbase.

I'm not saying it will be the right idea (Hayne for the Titans went down in flames), but the club and the NRL might be desperate enough.

FFS though, the Bears are struggling this badly, and then it'll happen all over again for PNG. Vlandys might be wanting to keep the best players in the game, but he doesn't give a shit about the overall quality of the comp dramatically deteriorating with all of these teams. As long as the "contests" can be kept "unpredictable" for his betting mates, that's all that matters to him.

Hope they got him to sign that contract in blood.

Signed... for someone other than storm... but I thought he was claiming a restraint of trade and had no other options!!

You know my thoughts on Hitler. Worst thing that's happened to rugby league and there is plenty of competition in that space.

Curious xerri asking for a release
Probably got a tap on the shoulder.

He's a left centre that has been shifted to right centre this year.

Might be on a cheap deal after coming back from his monster suspension.

Dogs can move Burton to left centre Crichton to right... actually bring in a halfback and their team is much better balanced

I can almost guarantee they won't move Burton, although i certainly agree they should

The Rabbitohs reportedly now have salary cap concerns since signing Haas.

It is understood the Rabbitohs have had to park contract talks with starting halfback Jamie Humphreys since they announced Haas’ signing.

South Sydney and Humphreys were in advanced discussions about a new deal with his contract expiring at the end of next year.

Oof could you imagine if this was the broncos... how ****ing dare you sign a player... didn't you realise you can no longer sign that depth player anymore.

How the **** does the bunnies salary cap work anyway... their team is stacked

Haas (>$1.3m)
Latrell (has to be over $1m)
Cam Murray (~$1m... Top 3 lock in the league)
Fifita ($1m from titans... titans paying ~$500k, but that would be over 2 years OR Fifita's pay is going up next year)
Wighton ($850k)
Brandon Smith (rorters signed him for $800k)
Cody Walker (has to be like $700k)
Campbell Graham (was on the verge of rep duties around last contract)
