2026 NRL Predictions

My ladder prediction, I might go into further detail later on but this is what I'm feeling for the 2026 Season.

1. Sydney Roosters
2. Brisbane Broncos
3. The Dolphins
4. Melbourne Storm
5. Penrith Panthers
6. Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks
7. Parramatta Eels
8. New Zealand Warriors
9. Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs
10. Canberra Raiders
11. Newcastle Knights
12. Gold Coast Titans
13. Wests Tigers
14. St George Illawarra Dragons
15. South Sydney Rabbitohs
16. Manly Warringah Sea Eagles
17. North Queensland Cowboys

also to remind myself in 8 Months.

Oooo a whole ladder... I might have to give it a go as well... I might break it up into teams I think are at the top, those middle teams and then bottom of the ladder
Top
1. Panthers
2. Broncos
3. Storm
4. Eels
5. Roosters

Middle
6. Dolphins
7. Sharks
8. Bulldogs
9. Raiders
10. Rabbitohs
11. Warriors
12. Cowboys

Bottom
13. Dragons
14. Tigers
15. Knights
16. Sea Eagles
17. Titans

Top teams
1. Panthers (Will be scathing after last year... they should be premiership favourites)
2. Broncos (premiership hangover will be the question... are they really as fit and ahead as they say they are)
3. Storm (Have a tough draw and no Papy among others, but expect them to be near the top)
4. Eels (looks like they have a piss draw... completely dependent on Moses, but it feels like they could be right up there this year)
5. Roosters (all hinges on the DCE and Swalker partnership)

Middle teams
6. Dolphins (middle of the road in terms of how tough their draw is and I think they're a little overhyped as their draw was soft last year, but Katoa looks a gun and I can see them moving up, because I think they're just better than the sharks and dogs)
7. Sharks (I don't really think they're all that good, but they've got a soft as **** draw again and zero origin players so they will just pick up wins over the year)
8. Bulldogs (looks like they have a tough draw and there's uncertainty around their spine... I think their spot could fluctuate quite a lot... hard to pick where they land but I think they make the 8)
9. Raiders (Loss of Fogarty is huge to me.. I just don't know where their kicking comes from... a lot now depends on Sanders, but they have the forward pack to in games and never give up in games)
10. Rabbitohs (I could definitely see them making the 8, but it all comes down to injuries... if they go injury free then they're better than sharks, dolphins and dogs... also looks like they have a pretty tough draw, which won't help if guys like Cody or Latrell miss games)
11. Warriors (looks like they have a soft as **** draw... one of the easiest in the comp... barely any origin players and teams travelling to NZ... but their halfback tore his ACL pretty late last year. Big question is how they deal with that spot. Their spine looks pretty weak without Metcalf in it)
12. Cowboys (I like the signing of Mahoney and Dearden is a gun... but I get the feeling something is going to happen with Drinkwater this year and if he ends up on the outer then everything falls on Dearden. I'm not a big fan of their forward pack either... even their outside backs look iffy outside of Taulagi)

Bottom teams
13. Dragons (I don't really rate them, but they seem to have enough to in games... they're like raiders lite at the moment... it could very easily collapse for them and they fall into the bottom 3 or so teams)
14. Tigers (tough draw and I just don't rate Benji as a coach at all)
15. Knights (everything is reliant on Ponga and how Brown fits into this team. They still don't have a 7, but I do like Holbrook as a coach... I think there's enough there for him to work with, but might come down to how they go about dealing with not having a 7)
16. Sea Eagles (only thing keeping them above titans to me is that they have a halfback and what looks to be the easiest draw in the comp)
17. Titans (a lot of turnover on what was already a pretty bad roster. They picked up Ilias as a halfback, but does he even make the team. Just looks like other teams are better than them)

Lets leave this here. it is the Courier Mail's (Pamela Whaley) predicted ladder after 6 rounds

I'm going to add a new prediction to my list ... Although I can't say it's a bold one.

Paul Crawley will be this season's Slothfield. He'll be obsessed with us in a negative way.

He is so butthurt that someone other than Bennett could win a premiership for us
