Yeah I can definitely see teams that will be able to do it... storm did it in the past with Paps and Hynes... I think that qld origin approach of having a natural spine player be a 'lock' for 10-15 mins a game will become more prevalent.I think the two extra are a perfect spot for some out of the box coaching and thinking. I would be taking a "special teams' approach and have two players on the bench that fit certain situations- a Fuller or Faalogo and you bring them on if you have the ball and need 10 minutes of special.
For us it would be something like carrying Perham as an X factor player or something like that.
However this is mostly suited to teams that have versatility across their 13 -16 players, and are able to plug injuries without being at a huge disadvantage.
I can also see some teams trying to be too cute with it and getting caught out.
I could definitely see a coach trying to run a bench of 3-4 big bodies with the thought of short sharp bursts... and then carrying an outside back and an edge as 18 & 19.
Then they'll lose a half and get exploited to lose... at which point they'll complain about needing more players on the bench.
