POST GAME 2026 State of Origin

Probably a bit like DCE.

Give him at least game 1 next year, and if doesn't perform, might be time to move on.

But then what's the option? Dearden and Walker? I'm still not sold on Walker. I know he was really good in the first 2 games, but he still seems a bit too inconsistent for mine. Didn't really surprise me he didn't have a good game last night when things weren't going the teams way. Hopefully he learns from it though.

Which is the chat I was leading us too. Personally I feel Dearden is more of a 5/8 so that's Munster covered, I'm just not sold on Walker either...who else is there though?

Hopefully it’ll be pezet or Duffy which would mean the broncos are doing ok. Wishful thinking I know.

Im actually very glad Patty didn’t play last night
Taught Billy a lesson
You still need players to go forward and make metres to win these games not spuds like loreiro who offer nothing

Thats a bit harsh....... if you're basing that on last night.

I still think he's an x factor on the big stage.

It isn't, it's based on last year and this. He's not the same player IMO (admittedly, I think he's crazy overrated tbh). As said above, it's a bit of a DCE situation. He gets game 1 next year to show us he's still got it. Which is BS of course because assuming Slater is coaching again, he'll pick Munster. Was also a sneaky way to get the conversation going for life after him.

I stand by my statement that Munster ruins every set play we try by running sideways or doing something erratic

For Qld halfbacks, the options are:
- Ben Hunt haha
- Daly Cherry-Evans (maybe)
- Tom Duffy (maybe)
- Preston Campbell
- Tanah Boyd
- Jamal Fogarty
- Jahrome Hughes
- Jake Clifford
- Coby Black (unlikely)
