I didn't think he had a perfect game but #17 Jett Ryan didn't shy away from the action and always looked likely. The obstruction was unfortunate but understandable.

Another Melbourne Storm junior too.

Somehow I'm not as worried about them holding onto these players as I was with the Titans last year.

I was just reminded of this when looking up the Schoolboys team.

The other player who came up through the Queensland pathways was David Bryenton. He was arguably the best junior last year and the Bulldogs snaffled him up from the Broncos system. He had a falling out down there and finds himself playing Rugby and is gaining attention of Super Rugby.

I think there's a Lomax situation going on so I'd say he's lost to our game for the time being.

Anyhow, Bryenton is a Kiwi so he wouldn't have been there last night. Just giving some context behind what Boyd was working with. I thought Darius and the selectors picked a good team. It would have been easy to play favourites and find room for a few Broncos but it looked like he did his homework.

I don't watch any SG Ball or Flegg but I get the feeling that the Blues could have done better with their side.
