Will be interesting to see if Bryant can take his Big Bash form into longer form cricket.

Weibgen of course won the toss and elected to bowl so no batting for him but he took three catches against the Coast.

100 to be picked for Queensland would have been better.

No Street in that Second XI game. Does that mean he wont play Shield? Who will they pick for this weekends game? Maybe Lovell to open and Burdon comes in at 3?

Good call that one by the selectors, better than sitting on the pine over there.

Depends for me what he does on Friday, if he skies one and is out for 8 it's been a waste. If he bats for two days and gets 200 it's some value.

But I see value in being around Smith and watching those guys too. Ponting went to the WI in 1995 and didn't play a game and Gilchrist went on the 97 Ashes without playing- I think there is value there.

I hope he fails on Friday.

I hear you but he spent the last few weeks around them and the back end of the India series as well. He’s long a career ahead of him, get him home and playing so he can get more games. I’m not 6 or 7 more days around that group not playing would add enough value as compared to an entire tour of 3 or so months in the offseason.
