CRICKET 24/25 Queensland Bulls

104 runs is the largest first-innings deficit ever overcome to win a Shield final, which was by Victoria to beat NSW in 1990-91 at MCG.

Bulls 0/13

163 behind.

Marnus was quoted as sayinglast game he probably touched 150.km/hr

Super fast arm....

Exciting to watch

He hit 151km last round. At his pace he gets lucky wickets like Carey but you can do that when you are fast.

His biggest problem is he goes from 151km to 135km and struggles for long. Misses whole days when he can't bowl and then can't play.

When you say he misses whole days when he cant bowl and then can't play....what are you basing this on?

I think wickets have fallen so quickly that three days to go is going to be too long.

If Queensland batted all day tomorrow by some miracle and got 300 in front. They then have to defend that for two days.

SA knowing they just have to plod along and knock it off with no risk or draw.

Australian batsmen in this generation are not good enough to play no risk cricket.

Four shield games in a year and couldn’t bowl day two last round.
His first Shield game of the Year was Rd 10 last week against SA. So its 2 shield games for the year and they are back to back.

As for not bowling on Day 2 in RD 10 - he actually did bowl 3 overs at the start of play. Neser and him opened on day 2, bowled three each and then both didnt bowl again in that innings when Sweepson and Marnus bowled the majority of the rest of that innings plus some from Rensahw and Clayton as well. Neser and Vidler both stopped when they got to 100 overs in the first innings when the bonus point system finishes - do you think they should both kept going after busting their guts through 42 degree temps on Day 1?

He had a pretty bad injury during the offseason and early parts of the season. it actually takes a while for these quicks to build their loads back up and be ready to play.

He played his first game March last year. Sorry should be three in 12 months not four. I gave him an extra game.

It's not about he should be bowling but I am just pointing out there is some work to do. They are managing him, and he has some physical issues at the moment.

He's 19 and reportedly bowling 150+, him having physical issues isn't surprising. Very few guys his age are that quick and even less are durable.

I know why it's happening, that doesn't make it less valid in a discussion about his bowling and performance.

Lead 45 with four wickets at lunch.

Wildermuth needs to just tee off and try and get it to 150.

That's their only chance.

Even then someone has to come out and get 6/15.
