6 - 6 - 6 ... Not a number to be trifled with

No, but neither is Cobbo.. doesn't stop the majority of people on here selecting him at fullback. I do think he will be a great player for it takes time to get there

You watch enough highlight reels you will convince yourself that anyone is ready for the NRL
That’s because Mam’s competition at 6 is Gamble, Kelly, Staggs, Roberts, and Martin - 5 experienced players, each with a more rounded skill sets at this stage of their development than the 18 year old Mam.

Where as the 19 year old Cobbo’s only competition for fullback is the 20 year old Fanitesi Niu.

Its a 2 way race between Gamble and Kelly their the 2 with the runs on the board already.

And Tesi only got a run in that jersey because Coates (i think it was) went down injured in the warm up and he done the job there to hold the spot, If Coates plays Herbie could of been our fullback to finish the year

You're downplaying the contribution he made a bit there aren't you? it doesn't matter how he got his opportunity, he got it and he ran with it.

Wish they'd all do that.

I'm not downplaying his contribution at all.. he got his opportunity took it with both hands and done a good job there but did form in ISC playing fullback get him the opportunity? I don't think so.. it was a pretty much a case of last man standing and he done well but it could have easily been Herbie given that opportunity is what I am saying.

He went alright but there wasn’t really any competition. I think he far from made the position his own.

They don't all come into the NRL looking like Darren Lockyer and I will give you the spoiler, Cobbo won't either

I’m not saying Cobbo will either. Why does a comment about Niu have to mean Im arguing for Cobbo?

Who else would you be arguing for?

Is Darbs about to tie the laces back up?

Tesi Niu is the best option we've got without ruining the development of Cobbo.

Darren played a lot of games off the bench before he secured a spot .

I agree that Niu gets first shot at fullback and I’ve said as much. I don’t think either is a particularly good option but Niu wins for now and that’s at least partly due to a mentality that I’d rather see his development ruined rather than Cobbos by being the thrown in the deep end too soon.

Herbie FTW
Cobbo center or wing at this stage

Stop saying stupid shit… All of you. **** me just cause a player plays first grade doesn’t mean it ***** there development. Tesi Niu would not be as good as he is right now if he spent the last 10 games playing q-cup. Everyone has their own way of developing and just cause Dearden choked on a fat **** doesn’t mean everyone else’s development is wrong. I hate hearing that. Yes maybe if your a halfback and hooker I agree it would be rushing them in but a fucken running fullback carrying his reserve grade side isn’t necessarily in the same basket.

Just out of curiosity, how many heart attacks have you had?

I agree it depends on the player and position.
You only have to look at Jayden Campbell for an example the kids 70 kilos ringing wet and killed it to the point where an origin fullback in Brimson is most likely playing 5/8.
