Well, will it happen? I certainly hope so.

He's been SUCH a force in our success over the past 20 years, but I fear that the fans might not get to show him exactly how much he means to us all. I really, really want him to come out on the field and do a lap with the players. The question is, will he?

I sincerely doubt he will, it's Wayne Bennett after all.

They'd have to drag him to a car and do a drive around that way. He wouldn't do it.

I can't see him doing it, and tbh I don't want him to, it's just not who he is, why change now eh?

I know what sort of bloke he was and how out of character it would be.

But still, I really think there are many like me who would love to see it. The man is just so humble - i think that, for once, he deserves the applause solely for himself.

After his lap on honour, he should just doing backflips like Mundine and Blacklock used to when they scored.

People have short memories. He's done 6 laps of smiling in his career with the Broncos.

I don't want the 7th to be next Friday night either, give it a month and then he can do it again [icon_drun !!

I reckon he will and he will be emotional even if he doesn't show it. He does love the fans and appreciates them. That is why he sat among the fans at good ol ANZ.
Being WB though he will probably stand with the thought 'the job isn't done yet'.

He laps after every GF. After 06 he was quite animated, putting his hands and head into the crowd. Why wouldn't he have a podder and a wave?

He will.

Who has some odds on this?

I'll go $20 that he does.

Theres photo's of him crowd surfing and very happy doing it in the post match party's, hardly the actions of a person who doesn't get enjoyment out of his career.........show us that trophy from 2000 Bennett icon_thumbs_u
