OFFICIAL Adam Reynolds to retire at the end of 2026

My bold prediction re Reyno.
Reyno to break down with a long term injury forcing early retirement.

Parra to get off to a horror win loss start and prioritise developing a half for 2027 instead of playing Pezet.

Pezet to ask for an early release and be a Bronco by June 30.

That would be a funny position with Pezet. Parra playing badly and drop Pezet, he's keen to come to Broncs but Broncs are doing well and don't or can't take him early and say no thanks you keep him :)

Once those hammy's start popping you can never really trust them post age 35. He's no Gout Gout but he is kind of zippy over short distances which is an important part of his game.

Madge is planning on Reynolds joining the coaching staff in 2027 in some capacity. particularly to work with our halves and spine. Reynolds appears keen on the idea of staying involved with the club after his retirement.

Reynolds on Pezet

“I’ve seen a little bit of him,” Reynolds said of Pezet.

“I love helping players in general, whether it’s Ezra (Mam), ‘Walshy’ (Reece Walsh) or any number of young guys and if ‘Pez’ wants my advice, I’ll be there to give him my two cents.

“He might not need it, but the Brissy No.7 jersey carries some weight and I think he can handle it finely.

“I’ll be an open door if he or the other guys need help. I’m more than willing to share a bit of knowledge and help steer the boys in the right direction.”

“I haven’t seen too much of Jonah to be honest,” Reynolds said.

“But from what I have seen, he looks a classy young player.

“It’s a great opportunity for him being at Parramatta this year. He gets 12 months of first-grade football under his belt alongside arguably one of the best halves in the game in Mitchell Moses, so I’m sure he’s going to learn a hell of a lot over the year.

“He will have some ups and downs, but those are the experiences that you need as a halfback if you are to steer a team.

“He’s been in a great system at Melbourne and now he gets to learn his trade at Parramatta.

“He will give it his all for Parramatta and then when he jumps into the Brisbane system, we can try and get him firing for the Broncos.”

Reynolds on his future:

“I would love to stay on and still be involved in the club,” Reynolds said.

“I don’t know exactly what will happen next year, whether it’s on the coaching staff or the development side of things.

“But the Broncos have given me and my family so much over the last couple of years and it’s time to repay that.

“I’d love to do that (be an NRL head coach), but I know that’s a long way away.

“I see how hard the head coaches work. I see the dedication and sacrifice. It’s a stressful, important job.

“Down the track, that’s something that I want to do, but for the meantime it would be a wise decision to sit back and learn my trade.”

Madge on Reynolds future coaching prospects

“Yes definitely, that’s something we’ll look at,” Maguire said of adding Reynolds to Brisbane’s coaching staff.

“’Reyno’ and I have known each other since he was 18 and he’s now 50 (laughs), so I would love to have Reyno around the club next season.

“Firstly, I want Reyno to enjoy his moments this season and the way he has transformed this team into the premiership team they are now.

“But down the track I have no doubt he can also have success as a coach in whatever form that is.

“He’ll be great for educating our younger playmakers.”

"Let walsh sit in reserve grade. He holds reynolds back"

Nrl 360 this week probably

'Broncos very lucky with some of those home ground advantage tries. The fact Staggs put himself on his own head is also not in the spirit of the game.'

'Galvin, Crichton, Kikau - the injuries are mounting up, great performance given all the advantages went to Brisbane as usual.'

I was calling him out in the first few games, but he's come to life now.

If he can hold this form and keep injury free - next year might be on the cards if Pezet is still proving to be a turnstile in def. Still think he's battling that calf/hamstring on his kicking leg though. Always seems to be inhibiting him during games, however, the last few weeks he's back to kicking 60m, that's the first time in months.
