PLAYER Adam Reynolds

He's one of our best players. Guy just came back from injury. Give him a chance ffs. Earlier in the year, BHQ was saying Cobbo was a better fullback than Reece Walsh.

We need to quit with the overreactions to bad form.

He was on his way to bottle another GF. I felt far more confident once he went off.

He can play on, but shouldn’t be captain and be able to be dropped if his form warrants it.
 
He's on what 500k now? I'd keep him for 2 more years if he wants to stay around. Even on one leg he'll be better than most rookie halfbacks and great to have at training. Same with Hunt, he's on 500-600k, at that price you keep him around until he says he wants to retire.

If they play 25 games between them a season you're still getting value.
 
He's on such little money for someone with his experience that I don't think we can get better value elsewhere. He has injury issues but Hunt and Mam have both had hamstring problems this season too. It'll be Reynolds and Mam first choice halves, but if we get to the finals with any combo of Reynolds, Mam, Hunt and Walters fit we can win it again. And I think having won this premiership Reynolds and Hunt play with less nerves in big games.
 
Agree with the above... Reynolds is effectively a safety net whilst Duffy and Coby continue to develop.

If one of those young guys jumps out of the ground and looks like a first grade half then we're good... Reynolds won't need to be dropped, you just do the whole "he's got a niggle, so we'll rest him this week and give the young guy a game".

If the young guy kills it, then suddenly that niggle turns into 4 weeks.

If the young guy has a stumble somewhere along the way, then all good because Reynolds niggle has suddenly healed up and we can bring him back in.

$500k is a bargain for a half that is top 5 in his position when he's fully fit... manage him through the year so he's fit and fresh for the finals series and we're good to go. We won't need to rush him back early from injuries next year.

The good thing about the depth next year is that Duffy and Coby are both actual halfbacks with kicking games... unlike Madden, Rogers and even Billy who are all 6's.

On one of the podcast, I'm pretty sure it was Levels and Horo making this claim ...

They said he was on $350k - $400k next year
 
I think we still win even if Reyno doesn't get injured.

Momentum had swung, we were coming to get them and we had just scored to only be 6 behind. We were a good second half team even with Reyno in the side and Storm weren't the same side in the second half.

Reece was not letting us lose that GF.

Losing Hunt and ARey when we did was almost a shot in the arm for some of the boys too. Do it for Reyno. Gets tired. Then Hunty goes down. Calls Walsh over to him looking like a drunken sailor and tell him to get the ****ing job done. Then we go hard till Riki flies through the air. Patty Carrigan couldn't move for minutes after we'd won lol

Yeh I noticed Paddy had ran himself to a standstill. He was finding it even difficult to muster the strength to hug his mates during the first few minutes of the celebrations.

Walsh also had to crouch down to celebrate with Reyno when he approached Him as he was too knackered to jump around too.

The cheats were even worse though. That last set they had nothing in the tank and every player shuffled it on to someone else in the hope they could do something.

When the siren went they all collapsed in a unified blubbering mess of tears and pain😂😂😂

Did you see some of the shit hunt was dishing up? Kicking on the 2nd when we finally got the ball, standing still on the Hughes try, senseless pass to Shiba to turn the ball over before meany try. He was way worse than Reno. The only foot Reno put wrong was the kick out on the full.

I don’t really care to argue the whataboutism, because I didn’t compare him with Hunt.

Hunt has his redemption, he’s a hooker all the time now with Ezra back and the kids coming through.

I will say though that Hunt is a better defender and still can play with injuring himself most of the time.

I think both old boys were not at their best in the GF but we dont make the GF without Hunt kicking the winning fieldgoal against the raiders and Reyno kicking the winning points against Penrith.

The exciting part about it is, our two most senior playmakers were shit and both got injured in a GF and our team still won.

It's a changing of the guard at the Broncos, we are no longer reliant on the likes of Reyno to win us games! Walsh, Mam, Walters, Haas, Carrigan, Staggs etc have made sure of that!

Hunt on the left side is not the same as Hunt on the right .
So Hunt playing 6 should be a last resort .
