AUS FOOTBALL AFL Grand Final 2023 - Collingwood v Brisbane

Fagan should go nuclear about that reffing performance

How harsh was that bounce for Charlie Cameron. Fuckkkkk

Following the thread on AFL subreddit - they're all calling it a robbery

What do the lions need to do to get to the next level?

Man that was an absolutely cracking game, a real shame about the umpiring, the Lions couldn't buy a decision in that second half but they botched the chances that came as well. At the end of the day, if you are going to go down, go down like that because it was a great, great game.

The umps being impartial would help but in terms of what can be controlled, they need more pace in the backline. When they come up against quick transition teams, the defense cannot cope. **** also needs to start moving on some of the older guys, he is an excellent coach but maybe too loyal to an extent.

The Lions need to move on Birchall, CEY somehow and a few others. They need to start getting more games into some of the kids like Blake Coleman, Prior, Smith (if they think he has a future), Answorth, Sharp, Madden and Robertson.

The Lions will be a LOT better when they get the guys back who were out tonight in Rayner, Hipwood, McStay and Ah Chee. They banged up guys need to rest up and come back fit in preseason like Gardner, Lester and Andrews. Those guys who were out will be like new recruits. We also have two first round draft picks, so need to target needs - one tall and one two-way running elite mid.

They’re developing a finals record that will be hard to get out of their heads.

They do have a ton of talent out injured though.

taking some pointers from NRL refs were they?

It does seem like it. 10-2 in favour of the Dogs for advantages. That team is plus 50 on everyone else all year. Same thing happened when they won it in 2016, they are the Cowboys and Roosters combined in that they always have a favourable draw, always get advantages their way and complain when they don’t, which is immediately rectified the next game.

Somehow we became undisciplined in the final three quarters despite winning all key categories for the whole match. Our player got elbowed in the head and they got the free kick. We got pinged holding the ball without having any chance to get rid of it and they did exactly the same thing and play on - this on its own was a 12 point turn around.

We still had chances to win it but shot ourselves in the foot as well as having players out, we’ll be hungry next season that’s for sure.

Really disappointing from Neale. Disappointing that he wants to leave with 2 seasons remaining but even more so to request it into a limited market making the reason known which completely reduces our bargaining power. Basically means we either have to give him up for way less than what he is worth or held a player to his contract that has played the family card.

What a kick in the guts after that loss.

What a D bag! And here I thought he wasn’t all about that shit.
