Ashley Klein is a corrupt dud

How would you know when it comes to the six agains?

From what I saw:
- Side line penalty
- AKP hold down penalty
- Patty binning penalty
- Walsh penalty (he was offside but he didn't get involved, he can't just disappear)

Let's also not forget, Brisbane challenged two additional penalties that were subsequently overturned.
Riki strip was one that hurts.

the Patty completely normal tackle length sin binning ones.

He just called Reyno over and gave him a warning for discipline .
Next set Patty who had already given up 2 or 3 six agains tries to slow down a tackle he did not dominate again , and gets penalised = the ref is a cheat !

Context aka feel for the game . Take the piss when you have just been told . FAFO .

Every single week 8 fanbases blame the ref for why their team lost. Hell half the teams that win have their fan base screaming that it was in spite of the refs. gets tiring. We just need to get better. Anyway my suggestion would be that when they take the job they should have to declare which team they follow and not be allowed to officiate those teams.

Every week 17 fan bases claim the games are reffed weirdly and nothing makes sense, until it’s the Broncos losing. They’re the only team reffed how they should be, but only when they lose. But also #PenaltyBroncos

What penalties against Broncos were not deserved? That was the worst discipline I have ever seen from the Broncos. Warriors slammed 42 pts on us, as well as 32 points put on us by Manly, and 38 from the Roosters.

We lack discipline and are playing like a bottom 8 side. It's almost like people think we were playing a team like the Dragons and were expecting us to just turn up and win. Warriors are dominant side these days, and bust teams up and we were never going to get away with the rubbish we have been serving up lately. It's a reality check, I am impressed they didn't put 50+ on us. Least we fought but they had too much firepower on the day.

That carrigan tackle was one of the longest tackles I have ever seen. Right after he warned them about infringements. That was obvious as it gets. Your argument falls on deaf ears when with a straight face you say that was a normal length tackle.
Longest tackles you have seen? Really? This one? I don't even see how it's a penalty! He peels away and isn't on him but Ford the dopey **** just keeps lying there. I don't blame Ford I would too when I know the ref is going to reward me for it.

Guys we had a bad game against and strong side - top 2 side who will likely will beat the Panthers this season. Let's stop stressing. We have injuries and stars coming back. We can play better and will. Warriors will be back here later in the season. That will be a good gauge of where we are travelling towards the business end. No matter what given their ability to hold onto possession and rapidly play the ball ability we will need to be ready for that.

Id rather get bust up by the Warriors now and improve than go through that at the business end.

- Side line penalty

10:28

That was a blatant second effort from Arthars. The tackle was complete with Riki then Arthars jumps on and both him and Riki go on with the tackle. Riki then uses Khan-Pereira as leverage when he gets up and Khan-Pereira forces Klein's hand.

I even have question marks over whether Khan-Pereira even had possession when Riki initially pushed him. Would have been little in it.

- Walsh penalty (he was offside but he didn't get involved, he can't just disappear)

11:54

Walsh rushed in on Te Maire forcing him to pass the ball and allowing Shibasaki to shift onto Pompey.

Obvious penalty.

- AKP hold down penalty
25:45

Are you referring to this? Arthars was ruled off-side.

Now if I was the Broncos, I'd take note and see if there was an alternative angle but chances are he was in fact off-side.
- Patty binning penalty
35:49

It's just a matter of whether you think Carrigan was entitled to lay in the ruck. No doubt he lays in there but you could certainly argue that since he's made good contact and turtled Ford that he was entitled to stay on there longer.

Again, if I'm the Broncos I'm keeping note of this but if you show a neutral fan this or a similar tackle I don't think they'd call it a howler.

What other incidents do we have?

What exactly is a neutral fan when it comes to the Broncos? I’ve never met one.
Which is why I said show them a similar tackle. I understand that the Broncos aren't everyone's cup of tea and they're about as popular as Melbourne are on here.

I.e: Dominant tackle and regardless, AKP then rolls himself into touch. Suspension for bringing the game into disrepute (I jest about this)

I'm not sure we are talking about the same one as I'm not watching that trash again but is this one on the goal line where Klein calls Walsh out and Walsh stands there with his hands up and then gets penalised?

I.e: A 50-50 call at best, if you are going to call that, you should be blowing penalties just about every tackle.

He has his arm up and looks like Ford is holding him down. It certainly isn't an unusual length tackle and unlike almost every single other tackle in the game, Klein says nothing, no direction to get up or anything. Even if you give it a penalty, there is so much doubt as to what is going on there that you simply cannot bin a player.
What other incidents do we have?
Already mentioned. The inconsistencies in ruck speed adjudication. No binning for Tuaipiki and I'd argue even Barnett got lucky not to be binned but to not even have a penalty is just incompetent.

Of course, you could certainly say Piki was lucky not to be binned either. So that is what it is. AKP must be also feeling pretty content he wasn't given a straight send off and only 10 in the bin.

Basically, it had to be blatant for NZ to be penalised or in some cases, nothing even happened. For Brisbane, anything that was 50/50 at best they were getting pinged for.

As usual, I also don't even know what 90% of the six agains either way were for.

Now on the flip side, these are absolutely penalties:
- Riki hitting off the ball, no matter whether he pulled out
- Talty taking out the kicking leg
- Piki's tackle as mentioned

So any ref that gets 2 or more challenges overturned in the one game should have a please explain.

Then you add the 9-0 penalty count 28 mins into the game.
Then you add the Carrigan 10 in the bin.
Then you add the Egan clear concussion, no HIA.
Then you add the Walsh HIA (apparently no head contact) late hit from Barnett after the kick.
Then you have the no sin bin from (I think) Tuaupiki on Ezra when he made that break, laying down not allowing him to get a quick play the ball.

Can’t forget how much they were laying in the ruck also.

It was a truly diabolical officiating display.

The NRL should have to come out and say if leading with the head is illegal or not. And if it’s the latter, they should have to formerly apologise to Pat Carrigan for his suspension. He got done and it hasn’t been called a penalty since, even if you’re launching at someone head first.
