They just cut to the crowd and there was someone in the crowd smoking

Is this actually still allowed at public sporting events in New Zealand? You can't smoke inside any sporting venue in Australia.
I can't believe they're allowed to sell stubbies. That's a disaster waiting to happen.

I thought that was an enjoyable afternoon of football.

After awhile, it did become white noise for me but whenever teams like the Warriors or the Rabbitohs were playing I was all eyes and ears.

Scheduling could have been better in the sense that the home team should have closed the event, but otherwise, this has been a tremendous success for the NRL.

One point that I've seen raised against the competition is the lack of star talent. While, it's definitely hurt the credibility of the competition to see the likes of Slater, GI, Hayne, Jennings, Maloney etc. sit home I've personally enjoyed watching the next generation like George Jennings, Jackson Hastings, Luke Keary, Kodi Nikorima etc step up.

Any highlights folks? I'm still sticking with the Feldt put down, that was freakish but I'm sure there's plenty I'm forgetting.

Tedescos speed was a highlight. Wow he is quick.

Didn't see very much of it today but from what I saw it was enjoyable and has been a success so far. Very entertaining and fast gameplay complete with perfect conditions and a good enthusiastic crowd.

The 3 games I saw were quite lopsided though but that didn't affect my view.
