We were good in patches but it is a miracle we didn't concede any, North really looked at sea a few times and I will be very happy for Neill to return to partner Beauchamp in the future. Carney, Emerton, Kewell and Wilkshire were all excellent tonight and Grella and Bresca weren't too bad either. Our future is looking promising just need to sort out a few issues in the centre at the back.

Thank god we had Schwartzer in goal to save us, thought Kewell went well and was our best, McDonald is a hopeless fat lump no idea how he goes so well in Scotland, need Neill back to strengthen the back 4 as it leaked all night, Bresh was hot and cold.......overall a scrappy win but good for the combination and will get better ver the month of June together.

Excellent crowd and atmosphere, bloody cops were nowhere to be seen when the 2 invaders came on the field, hopeless and no doubt Sep Blatter would have noted it as a negative against all the positives he would have taken away about Aussie Football at Suncorp Stadium.

To be fair Russo McDonald was bypassed quite often as the play down the middle went to Kewell and most of the crosses were aimed at him as well. He is a gun and once he finds his feet at this level he will be brilliant for us I am sure.

Yeh we did not to play to McDonalds strengths at all! I know its still early days but is anyone feeling a little dodgy about Pim, he is certainly no Guus!

I agree with all that.

I'm going to wait a fair while before i decide if Verbeek was a successful appointment.

I've thought we've looked very vulnerable in most games under him.

Like MB said, McDonald is a gun and the way we played was not suited to his game. We tended to play down the flanks and whip crosses into the box, rather than on the floor through the middle.

He is a brilliant finished and i've no doubt he will eventually flourish for the Aussie team.

I didn't touch it, but I don't get why it's so funny?? Those odds were MASSIVE considering how easily Iraq could've won. A pretty quality side, really.
